The irony of Mary Butler being a minister for mental health given the "insensitivity" (to put it lightly) shown in her campaign and choice of constituency office should be funny but will never be given the serious nature of the role.

Let's not forget how much she cares about the mental health of women experiencing crisis pregnancies.

Greens only give a **** about Dublin it seems to me. Run by middle class Dub posh boys like Eamonn Ryan and Ossian Smyth

Given Waterford has both a Green TD and a Green MEP and actually a very strong local "eco" cohort they do well to er cultivate the vote.

One of the strongest Green branches in the country. Who knows what will happen in the next four and a half years, but I would not rule out Marc holding his seat. Good chance of FF declining further and Mary losing her seat as things stand.

FG are the curiosity at this stage. Terminal decline could beckon with no representation for the first time since the 30s at least (if we include Cumann na nGaedheal). Hell SF should probably run two next time out, dunno who that person would be.

Think Conor McGuinness is lined up for it.

Unbelievable she’s been given the position considering one of her family tried to destroy a person on the internet in response to them drumming up support ahead of the repeal the 8th vote. There was no thought for mental health in the Butler household at that time. The woman is an incompetent lowlife.

Bit of drama on Facebook with E.Mulligan and a local historian involving the posting of an insensitive photo on Twitter of rescue 111 helicopter disaster. Have to agree with Eddie 100 percent.

Indeed but calling the man a historian is a step too far imo, subject to histrionics might be closer to the point.

Don't know the person, but some of the comments from those on Facebook seem to agree with yourself and with Eddie. Plus he seems to have gone a bit bonkers at the moment considering his last tweet.

Yeah, did not get a chance to listen back but heard her interview on WLR the day after being made a junior minister was awful. She just spent the time talking about herself and how great she thinks she is.

That historian or so called is off his bulb.
