    Ah go way you fuckin clown, you were in salthill 20 mins ago.

    And he's in the office... Qualified on how to move trampolines in storms. A pen probably the heaviest thing he ever lifted.

    Large parts of Kildare now without power. These winds now out my window are lethal coming up to lunchtime!

    Except for one poster in Leixlip who is only experiencing a bit of mist. ;)

    Just lost power in Celbridge... yey

    Max Gust of 113km/h at Waterford Airport in the last half hour. Very Stormy conditions the likes of we haven't seen here since Storm Ophelia

    Youtube Stream from Waterford https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwZ1MnxjDUo

    Honestly either I'm just lucky or that's a very geo-isolated moment. It's very underwhelming so far, it's a winter storm but subjectively nothing atypical.

    Highest Gusts at noon on west coast in KM/H

    Mace = 109 (Yellow)
    Belmullet = 111 (Orange)
    Newport = 113 (Orange)
    Valentia = 106 (Yellow)
    Sherkin Is = 119 (Orange)
    Roches = 135 (Red) - Is this correct? Cork airport much lower (106)

    Serious ramp up in wind speed here in Wexford. My kids school now closed.

    Far from scientific here but in work in Dublin City centre and it’s the loudest winds I can remember outside. Trees aren’t in trouble or anything by the looks of it but it sounds bad outside.

    Saturday was alot worst in Dublin

    Certainly very windy out in UCD, though probably only yellow status levels

    Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Decent looking squall line moving into Westmeath and Offaly. Another one in Waterford.

    Maybe you've imagined that, sure it's not even windy in Kildare :D

    After a quiet half hour or so, it's picking up again in East Mayo - nothing wild yet though

    As well as the wind some wintry showers overnight in the north midlands and north could leave a dusting in these areas for the morning.

    Looking at the Met E rainfall radar, there's a squall line pushing through the SE at the mo. Sferics reported too

    There was just a huge rumble here on the northside of KK city. Not sure if it was the way a wind gust hits the houses and trees here or was it thunder. Nothing since. It put the heart of God across me though. :eek:

    ETA: It was thunder. Some more just now with flashes of lightning.

    Back to a mist here again...

    Between the wind, gusts, rain, thunder and lightning, it's drama content is impressive. The poor dogs dont agree. Callan, Kilkenny.

    A big clap of thunder here in Kilkenny.

    Just passed over Sth Tipp a little bit ago. Only lasted maybe 10 mins but the thunder was ferocious. Wind and rain also. Now it's all calm. So strange.

    Calmed down notably here in Limerick city east in the last half hour. That squall line just before midday was feckin intense though, horizontal drumming rain and knock you over wind. Activated house alarms here. Blue sky moving rapidly in from the west now.

    Might have been. I wasn’t in this building there. Wasn’t too bad at home though (suburbs)

    To be fair, he is clinging onto that trampoline.

    True, grabbing that trampoline would be one of the quickest means of travel on a day like today, and he'd land in windless leixlip in time for the tae.

    Squall line passing over Durrow. 54mph gust

    "mist", the German for sh1t.
    Presumably the bull variety.

    Squall line just passed through (SW Laois), definitely the most intense wind gusts of the day so far but nothing exceptional.

    Only difference is its raining now, but early sat morning seemed stronger when I was out running.
