    I like this ref.

That was about as clear and obvious as it gets. TMO and ref bottled it.

Shocking call there, Penalty try imo

There does look to be a bit of a slap in fairness, but it was in the motion of the tackle.

BBC commentators are hilarious to listen to though

French commentators were sure it was intentional

For me thats a definite slap down and clear penalty try. France are absolutely blessed there.

Still, well the Welsh contingent anyway, feeling hard done by not to get the penalty try.

POC is a bit too easy in falling into the direction the wind blows, reluctant to go against the grain

Mixed metaphors all over the kip there.

Really couldn't agree more. Definite slapping motion before he wrapped.

    Le cute hoorism.

Absolutely not. It was a wrapping tackle and he made contact with the ball in the process.

Yellow card? Why no penalty try.

    Brilliant scrum

Because there was no certainty a try would have been scored otherwise.

    Penalty France!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,164 ✭✭✭A-Train

One scrum too many for Wales.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,340 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Well this is just set up for Wales to pip France in the last 10 minutes. They'll be livid if they don't manage it.

[edit] **** me, that's some scrum. Yes, my stream is well behind.

You don't automatically get a penalty try for a yellow card

I think you have it backwards

Yeah but rule of thumb is normally 3 scrum penalties in the 22 means a penalty try. Especially when the yellow card was awarded.

Welsh commentators ripping into Demba Bamba before the scrum saying he's useless and can't scrummage.

Then absolutely destroys the Welsh loosehead and they're saying he's amazing and what a unit etc

Only if they're going fowards and look like they're going to score a try.

His hand was traveling downwards completely against the rest of his bodies motion. The attempt to wrap would have been traveling upwards. It was about as deliberate a slap down as you can get.

Yeah seen it go either way. I suppose they weren’t clear scrum penalties when the first one was awarded with DuPont playing the ball while still in the scrum.

    Brutal to miss touch there

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

The Welsh are getting very salty. Loads of little niggles going on

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Wales have offered little or nothing to trouble the French defence today. Pivac’s attacking game hasn’t bedded in yet.

    Good lad, Robson.

Tipuric sealed off that ruck when the big second row was tackled.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,609 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Forward from McNicholl in that passage

    Who did Jalibert replace?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,350 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

    Is that ball definitely grounded?

    Fan of the soup.
Always lands with the home nation, similar to BOD.
