Severe lack of interest on my part probably due to the long wait.

Would say though for anyone still to go to know what their skills are that they will bring to the role of AO (probably clearly write them out and focus on 3 or 4) -
Even if I had of prepped properly i still think this question would have stumped me.

The interviewers are very nice and will prod you for the correct answers.

As they say it probably went better than you think. Which stream are you going for?

You may have done a lot better than you think. Everyone will get caught at some stage through the Interview & I would think that the board will allow for the length of time this comp has gone on, the new format of Skype so hopefully you get a good surprise when the panel results are out.

Thank you for sharing the feedback, much appreciated.

I know what you mean its gone on so long. As others have said you never know it may have gone better than you think. Fingers crossed

Any idea when the interviews are finished? Just want to get an understanding of when we will hear about panel results...

Mine is next Monday morning. That's going into Week 3 of Interviews. I wonder how many interviews are being carried out each day?

At a guess, would 6 candidates per interview board per day sound reasonable? That's 30 interviews per board a week. Is there more than one board conducting interviews?
If there are 2 boards over 4 weeks that's approximately 240 candidates? Or half that if one board only guessing here.
If there is more than one board obviously theyll get through interviews quicker and we should know sooner. My guess is middle of November, but the way this competition has gone so far, it really could be anytime either this year or next 🤔🤔🤔

I'd say alot less than 240 interviewed. More than one interview board but I doubt they would be all working every day.
I think we will hear by the end of the month probably around a week after the interviews wrap up.

Oh I'm still cringing abit . I thought it was a tough interview, fair for definite but tough. I definitely didn't pass the last competency.
Best of luck to anyone that is left to interview.

I'd imagine results by early Nov at the latest, then start date January. But that's just a guess.
The recent AP tax specialist comp had results out within 4 weeks, if that's anything to go by.

Hi, just wondering is the interview solely based on the application form or do they refer to the video assessment we did as well?

Hopefully you've done better than you thought. It can be so hard to know. Best of luck

Interview is based on the application form. No mention of the video assessment

Clearly I don’t interview well. Avg 20 points per competency but at least 50 needed.

Was doing it more for experience but I surprised I was that bad.

What are you referring to.... AO interview results already?

Yeah, 240 is alot for AO alright, EO definitely, but alot less positions available for AO. If it goes like the AP comp, we should know our fate the last week of October, first week of November.
Hopefully we will make the panel & then be lucky to get a position in our chosen county.
Do you know if we are successful in the interview, will we automatically get placed on the panels we chose on our application form. I selected Accountancy & Tax which they confirmed at the interview. Is that also assessed at the interview or from our academic qualifications?

My interview is still a couple of weeks away, so dont be in a hurry for results if you've already had your interview :)

When did you do your interview? Did the results just get sent to you by email. You did well, I found it very hard.

19th of October is the final day of interviews

I think only about 100 were interviewed in the most recent open EO campaign.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. Have failed many interviews but I believe you can take something away from all of them.
Are you sure it was the AO revenue open campaign, they usually issue results to everyone at the same time.

There are no results out for this competition, results will be out 23rd October at the earliest.

It’s minimum 55 for this competition 😬 it was tough so I’m not too hopeful

I had my interview this week also.

I just find these type of interviews never get easier. No matter how much prep work I do there are always questions I am caught on.
I found the interview very intense and could not call it either way.

Best of luck to those still to interview and roll on the job offers for those making the panel.

Ya, i feel exactly the same......the interview panel were very fair but it was very intense as you say... with the time restrictions it was moving along at a quick pace.....hard to know what they made of me..

    Best of luck to everyone...

Anyone know what exactly the training involves. I've only applied for Donegal office so very unlikely to get a job. However I'm curious about

    1. Nature and location of training
    2. Duration of training
    3. Support available in terms of reimbursements

I've heard varying reports on all above items

I would also hope that, given the current climate, majority of training could be performed remotely
