SO hopefully we may here next week or there after. I was told 10 day from interview. But maybe they have so many applicants that its being delayed.

Yep, me too . Wonder what the delay is? Hopefully they do it properly and stop offering small conracts when you tell them you are available all year round! 🙄

Those short term contracts aren't great you are only in the job when you have to leave. That happened to me twice although on the second time it wasn't interesting they had me filing all the time

Did they cut the job short? Or did you stay during the duration of the contract?

They told me a 10 week contact at minimum so although not great it should give you some time to try and work out how you might get permeant.

And wonder they also say that OOM is not so important either because they may just hire you based on qualifications for projects that need something specialised

  • Registered Users Posts: 72 ✭✭beenhad

Oh God I'm on filing too! Torturous! Coming to the end of a14 week contract soon, so am hoping the timing will be perfect for when I finish in 2 weeks time. I've noticed that a lot of the men are getting a rolling contract and are on the PSC cards. On another note I was told that there will be a permanent campaign in Jun/July.

Congrats on completing the interview. So the oom ranking might not determine the sceduling of interviews... if the specialism is taken into account ?

    Hi All,
Did anyone interview in Longford for surrounding counties?
Was wondering was anyone told about the timeframe of interview results?

I did my interview on the 30th was hopeful that I might hear by this Monday or is that too soon

Have no idea how they order the interviews,my OOM was quite high and I got an interview on the 3rd Feb. All I know that in the interview they did say they might pick people out despite OOM for particular projects as needed and that a lot of people don't show for an interview or fail the interview so your OOM could be reached quicker than you might think

I am wondering are they giving us back a result and maybe offering us a contract at the same time if we are successful? I have never waited this long on a result ? Maybe they are being more strategic this year and offering people departments that actually fit in with their skillset? Just a theory I have. We will have to wait and see.

I wondered this as well. In my interview I was asked several technical and specific questions around my dissertation. They had clearly read my application before I came in and prepared these questions. Because the questions were specific to my dissertation I was sure no one else would have been asked these questions and I wondered why they had asked them. I was hoping they maybe they had a particular department or project in mind for me but that's probably just wishful thinking. In saying that I have heard that quite a few people were thrown by difficult questions they were asked. (Interviews in Donegal that is)

No the first one was with DSP 15 weeks covering for summer holidays and the next one was 12 weeks with AGS. They let all the temp staff go that time.

Just got an e-mail to say I'd a message on my PublicJobs dashboard.

    Never logged on so quickly.

Turned out to be a rejection for a parliamentary reporter job I'd applied for and not the result of my interview.

    :(

Ah that is a shame. Hopefully you will have better luck in this round! I'm hoping by end of week the results will be out.Good luck!

Hi all had my interview in Letterkenny on 31st January. I selected all year. Does this mean I could be called anytime. Hopefully hear something soon. I was told they were interviewing 200 for Co Donegal. When we get results is it just pass or fail interview could we also get a offer? So first time applying for this
