    Currently over Irish Sea.
    ETA 16mins.

The whole terminal should be filled with pictures of the victims of Isis as she walks through.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

I think she will be questioned by Gardai and off she goes to live out her life under maybe a new identity.

Smith should face the full rigors of the law IMO (and if she hasn't contravened Irish law, the government should put laws on the books off the back of her behaviour as a matter of urgency).

But we're not ISlS, there's no need to go frothing at the mouth looking for her to be killed. That's an incitement to violence.

Only reason why people are frothing at the mouth is because we all know it will be likely nothing more than a slap on the wrist then helped and housed with full benefits like nothing ever happened.

The full rigours of social welfare and free housing will be applied.

Child benefit will be backdated and everything will be afforded to her.

    That's Irish justice.

    Take that ISIS

This thread is pure clown car stuff. Well done all for having the time to waste to even remotely care about this.

Outrageous decision, like the UK this country is seriously f**ked up to let something radicalised like that thing back here.

I’d be for that if you if you agreed to post pics of dead and wounded Iraqi / Afghan civvies at Shannon Airport to greet the US troops as they disembark. Deal?

We allow “that thing” Gemma who is equally as radicalised to roam the streets, so why not?

Oh give over will you. There's probably a Margret Cash thread you can pollute.

She was put in a Garda car straight off the plane.

Taoiseach said “In terms of Lisa Smith, gardai are ready to speak to her and they may be in a position to charge her and if they do then a prosecution may follow.”

Pathetic. In any country which is serious about this issue, the Prime Minister would say “if our laws do not allow us to prosecute a former member of our defence forces in these circumstances, then we will bring forward legislation so that future cases can be prosecuted and severe sentence imposed.

We’re all for prosecuting war crimes but we can’t manage this one. Did we forget to congratulate the Americans on executing Al-Baghdadi?

Into a people carrier straight off the plane to avoid a probable circus at arrivals. Probably for the best.

Although, one can't help but think the government would have wanted it this way for optics purposes.

If this was in the United States she would have been bundled in to that car.

Yet she is allowed casually walk in to it here.

She's probably even allowed to wear shoes. This country, honestly. Soft touch.

How do you tell a lefty from a conservative?
The lefty cares about Lisa, the conservative cares about ISIS' victims.

There is only one way this should end, with Lisa in jail forever.
Anything else is spitting in the face of ISIS' victims.

Two articles on front page of RTE this morning:

Lisa Smith and child back in Ireland
    http://www.rte.ie/news/2019/1201/1096265-smith-isis-home-turkey/

Khan 'subject to list of conditions' on his release
    http://www.rte.ie/news/2019/1130/1096107-london-stabbing/

This story has a clear and obvious ending and anyone who facilitates Smith in securing her freedom now should told they will be tried as an accomplice in any future trial and then we'll see just how much faith they have in her.

Or perhaps you can tell the conservative when they're w*nking themselves into a frenzy that they didn't start stunning her with cattle prods off the plane.

Some people are just plain idiots, probably not all that brighter than Lisa.

Ireland should have put legislation in place years ago to handle cases where Irish citizens goes off to join a caliphate.

That this wasn't done points to either they were too stupid to see this coming, or they didn't want to do it at all.
Either way, Leo needs to step down.

Yes they should have but they didn't and now there is no legislation where they can keep her detained long term.

I wouldn't aspire to be like any country with such poor human rights record and high crime rates.
