I went for a new account with a US address. I have UK prime but there's more available free in US coupled with crackle, nbc apps. I also notice a better integration with searching for things on homepage.
You'll need filelinked to get all UK apps though.

I be interested in how you did this...I have a couple of firesticks that are registered to Amazon UK. I'd like to get the nbc sports app in particular on one of them for the footie (whenever that starts back) but i'd need my Amazon account location to be set to US to get the app. I already have an Amazon US account created with the same email address and its aware of the UK account as i can see my devices and apps from there. Do i need to create a new amazon account to get the US apps on one of the firesticks or is there something else i can do without having to get onto the Prime Video crowd to get the location set to UK again. Cheers

I just set up a new US account using a different email address and set my Amazon account address as US. I also have the keepsokid VPN on us so it works perfectly. Pluto, IMDb tv NBC etc

As far as I know you can't walk in to any shop in Ireland and collect the Fire stick, you can order 1 on Currys.ie or Argos UK.

There's plenty of people all over Dublin selling them on Adverts for €50 for the standard ones and €60 for the 4k version if you don't to wait to have it delivered.

I'd recommend this for firestick add-ons. I found it very useful when I changed mine to US and hence couldn't install UK apps from store. Ignore the fact it is for YouTube kids, their app contains a lot more.

If anyone knows of a VPN that's working on the firestick correctly for Netflix could you drop me a PM.
I've tried Nord and expressvpn but they are being detected by Netflix.
    Thanks

    Is that nites-tv legit?

It's dubious. Pluto and IMDB and vudu seem to be legit whereby ads are paying for the content.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,398 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

I did the app on the stick, it auto connects when firestick starts. US always on by default.

Just signed up to the trial and downloaded the app on the firestick. Selected California 2 server but Netflix has detected the VPN. Same as with nord and expressvpn.

Edit , got it working. Just scrolled down further and found the streaming section on the VPN list. Working fine now

You can but it’s easier to do after you download a mouse app to help navigate the app...it’s still quite awkward to do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 423 ✭✭whiz

Is there any free mouse apps you recommend?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,398 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver
