Would I Lie To You - Reminds me of Reeling in the Years.

Power of Love - Despite being the 3rd best song with that name behind Huey Lewis and the News and Frankie Goes To Hollywood, it still beats that other ''edgy teen'' sh*te. Lord I hate that

    Charles & Eddy-Would I Lie To You

    Cool vocals, groovy track.

New Radicals-You Get What You Give

Upbeat, optimistic classic, not a boring ballad.

    Match 25
Would I Lie To You because it's super smooth, and that other song is so boring I couldn't listen to more than 30 seconds of it.

    Match 26
You Get What You Give because it's an absolute tune, even though their other song Someday We'll Know is an even better song, despite being less well known.

Don't know the Randy Vanwarmer one so will pass.

Will go for You Get What You Give for the second one, I remember it being in the charts so it has a nostalgia feel, plus it's a cool tune (the video is pretty dreadful though)

    Don't take money

    Don't take fame

Don't need no Necro to vote on this train

    Except I will!

    That's the Power of Love

Undecided on the first one yet

Horse outside. The lyrics were a thing of beauty.

    It’s like that. Dance Off!!!!

Look into my eyes can’t you see there open wide would I lie to you baby would I lie to youuuuuu. That’s my choice.

Not too pushed on either of the others but Jennifer rush one is damn awful so by default, the other one.

    R1 Match 26

Jennifer Rush - The Power Of Love

    VS

The New Radicals - You Get What You Give

Simple for me. I hate the first song and really like the second one. So my vote goes to You Get What You Give. I can't stand either of the tunes in Match 25 so I won't vote on either!

Finding it hard to choose any of these. None of them are standing out to me

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,794 ✭✭✭Squall Leonhart

You pitted two of my suggestions against each other... Dammit.

Randy van Warmer.. Just love it, poor Charles and Eddy, love that song too, but RVW is my vote

    New Radicals

Yeah, there hasn't been anything in any of the last half dozen or so matches that I actually like.

Mark Owen , cos feck the Rubber Bandits .

Run DMC , fecking live that song , great pick whoever chose it !!

I'll go for Charles and Eddie because I don't know the other one. Listened to around 5 secs of it and it sounds a bit drippy.

The Power of Love because the lift has more impact than the shopping centre.

    Match 24:

    Rubberbandits & Run DMC

    Match 25:

Hot Russians in school uniforms making out ferociously. Beats pretty much anything tbh.

No preference on the first tbh.

    Match 27
Dust In The Wind because even though I think Carry On My Wayward Son is a better Kansas song, and Cannonball holds a special place in my heart, Dust In The Wind is just one of those haunting songs that I love.

    Match 28
Glorious because I can't believe I forgot to nominate it myself... It's a song I've always loved.

    Match 29
Video Killed The Radio Star as I feel it's the stronger of the two songs, even though both are fairly harmless in the grand scheme.

    Match 30
Ready To Go because it's a class tune and a long time favourite of mine, but I wish both songs could go through - I had considered both of these for my own nominations.

#27 - Vote Cannonball, though not as good as The Breeders song of the same name.

#28 - Vote Glorious, it's a nice track. I suspect House of Pain will walk it though.

#29 - Vote Mickey, because Video Killed the Radio Star just annoys me these days (I used to enjoy it but no longer)

#30 - Vote Ready To Go, it's another great track I thought of after I'd made my submissions. Plus the Russian lesbians were fake! :p
