Looking for recommendations for tractor tyres for the front. Tractor has a front loader and i am looking at putting 360/70/R24 on.

Not firestones anyway. They would melt off the front of a loader tractor under the heat of the sun. Worst wearing tyres I ever saw.

Did any of ye ever shift a mobile home using a teleporter?
I was wondering if its possible to put up on a bale trailer with the teleporter? Can get extension forks. The chassis isnt the strongest on mobile homes, just worried about it
Got a price of a lad that shifts them using proper ramps etc n he's top dollar.
Shifting it 30 mile so better not put it on the hitch of the jeep!

Oh moved one once as a favour for a neighbour. Never again. He said there's a reason why the specialised guys do it

Put nothing else on machines around here this last 10 years. Can't afford the premium brands and definitely can't afford cheap rubbish.

Absolutely, but it's always worth pricing the premium brands when you're buying. They seem to randomly offer discounts, or give cash back promotions, on their tyres from time to time which leaves them costing little more than BKT.....

Bridgestone have recently launched a new tyre with wide lugs, designed to give good service life on road work. This should make them very suited to loader work too. Bridgestone is a premium brand, with prices to match, but they were selling these new tyres at a reduced price to get them established. I'd certainly suggest at least pricing them.......

Question, what size jump starter pack would you need to start a tractor? Have a tractor at home that will only start off the jump leads from another tractor, and came accross this jump starter pack and was curious as to whether it would start the tractor?

I wouldn't rely on them on a frosty Morning. Better solution would be fix tractor.

Or if you want a booster a charger with trickel charge option and a spare battery would be a much better choice for tractors. ( You can then either swap batter or use leads to boost)

At the moment it suits me for the tractor not to be starting without having to be jumped, last time I used it was August, long term I agree 100% change the battery but was just thinking how handy one of those would be if it were able to start a tractor

Think if it's lying long term, trickel charger is great to keep a battery topped up, you could try a solar one connected to tractor battery.

Anyone ever convert a drag trailer that’s on air brakes and suspension to hydraulic brakes? Looking to convert it to a bale trailer and tractor doesn’t have air. I’m thinking brakes couldn’t be too hard to convert but what about the suspension? Or could it work away without suspension?

Just leave the airbags deflated, there is a shock at each hub.
Are they disc brakes or drum brakes - drum are no bother to convert , disc are torture!

Any issues with stability when the air bags would be down?
Brakes are drum so I presume just put in a brake ram and hosing or is there more to it?

You can buy rams for handy enough money from Lynch Trailers in Cork

We've a twin axle bale trailer here like that, I never noticed any stability issues with it anyway

With a drag trailer would the drawbar not be up a couple of foot in the air, dunno how you hitch into it?

You would hear of lads using a cigarette lighter compresser to inflate the airbags.
If all the lines are well sealed its possible

My new toy. Stihl MS 170. I was looking for a smaller saw for a while as my old MS 250 is over 18 years old now. I had it in with a dealer this year getting a new muffler and he said that the compression is perfect in it. Still, great to have a smaller one for around the farm. At €245 delivered from Robert Kee in Donegal, you can't complain. A bit pissed off to see the 'Made by Stihl in China' though. I've a feeling it won't last as long as the MS 250.
12" bar and just 2 two-strokes oil and spanner with it.
