Actually there's an inaugural Shumei natural farming workshop coming up in Kilkenny too.

That’s on a Sunday, I might tip up to that...

I'll be there myself to see what the craic is.

It seems to be like Korean natural farming in that they seem to have gone beyond crop rotation but this event seems to have gone beyond inputs too.

Oh fell into a bed of nettles backwards this morning. The bottom of his back and his hand are badly stung...

Butter/vinegar? Are you cooking him? Maybe a bit of garlic and pepper too.

I've never found docks leaves to be of any use for nettle sting.

Looking it up there now, it say the sting is formic acid plus histamine.

So an anti-histamine (non drowsy) should help, it's also stating a hydrocortisone cream to relieve the swelling.

Only consolation, nettles never grew on poor land.

Simple and cheap solution. Put Knight in the cow shed. No house extension or snip needed.

I know a lad that had a wicket bull- he was left in the shed 365 days a year and cows sent in to be bulled and then coaxed out.

Good size baby. You're about 12% calving difficulty.

    Try some aloe Vera

I got some cream in the chemist called anthisan. He has bad pins and needles on the stings now.

    Charolais bull

How would you calculate the calving difficulty?
    Three births-
    1: emergency section
    2. Elected section (fear of emergency one)
    3. Elected section.

The Bord Bia beef price tracker has just gone live. I posted a link in the beef price thread but I'll put it up here too.
