Lysander is lost for words.

Thoughts of the power sweep through his head, control of the night, the destruction of anything in his path that would oppose...

But then he remembers La Som Bheu, his powerlust and utter control.

'Brother. Do you know that this was offered to me by the father of our clan already? To rule this country as his emissary. To crush all that opposed us.

But there is a steep price to pay for this. They hunt us brother, the Inquistion - and the mortals police forces. There is a reason we need to come into the light at least a little more - the old ways are dying brother, we cannot survive alone... together we are stronger, apart they will eventually hunt us all down and destroy us.'

"...." Michalis stands stunned at Lysander's words. Lysander feels a sweeping change across Michalis's mind.

"But the Traveller said the father was..."

Lysander feels a shudder run through the Abyss. Something comes for them both.

Michalis turns.

"Brother leave here. Fast! Help the Ventrue with what I have done. If I get out of here. Then we will talk. It is as if something has been lifted from me. A Veil. Move now! I love you brother"

Lysander pauses.

'I could help, I do not want to lose you!'

Michalis pauses. Shocked almost.

"Then you care as neither my mortal father nor our vampiric father did. Brother the being coming for us is very old and too strong for any of our kind. Above our paycheck as the Americans say.

We must return to the world but all the exits will be blocked and I do not know where the shadows will lead us.

Come follow me. We must descend further into the Abyss"

Lysander nods.

'Lead the way brother, I am with you.'

Fourier

As they run Lysander feels the regular world drift away from him. Eventually the shadows about him solidify into massive walls that tower above him and Michalis. As they run they see strange starved looking figures, vaguely human with distorted features.



"Ignore them brother. They are lost"

They reach a huge Y-junction in the path. To the left they hear a growling as loud as a train. To the right the path grows terribly dark.

"Any opinions?" Michalis says without turning.

'The right. The shadows are home to us... and don't seem to growl like some sort of infernal beast... though I know not where we go.'

Fourier

As they take the right, the shadows sense Lysander and Michalis as kin and retract. They see a shimmering on the left hand wall up ahead. Lysander can sense it leads back to the normal world.

Beyond they hear pop music.

"I have never been a fan of these melodies brother" Michalis smiles.

'Shall we head back then brother?'

Lysander begins to step through the shimmering wall.

Fourier

"Yes" he says turning. They hear the walls bulging up ahead as something massive moves through this huge maze.

They step out into a nightclub. As they emerge from the shadows created when the strobe lights blink they bump into some dancers.

"Fúcking watch yourself man" one shouts, pushing Lysander back.

The sign above the exit says "La Casa Del Cuervo".

Lysander smiles at the man and catches his gaze.

'It's all ok my friend, I was never here - it was the security man who bumped you and called your shirt ridiculous.'

He snaps away from the gaze and gestures to Michalis.

'Let's make for the Louis' mansion when we get outside.'

Fourier

The young man looks dazed for a second, then heads over to push the bouncer who is coming from backstage.

Michalis and Lysander exit as the young man's girlfriend gets involved. They see they are only down the road from Louis's mansion and easily make it back to the front garden.

Louis runs out. He is missing his right arm.



"My Prince. I can't risk wasting Vitae regrowing this. We have it contained, but it might break out any moment. In my drawing room"

Lysander enters the mansion and makes for the drawing room.

The run into the mansion with its splendid ornate lobby of white marble and red carpeted staircase. Louis points them to the left where they enter a drawing room.

Typical vampiric decadence. Massive room, vaguely 19th century with a piano, large bookcases, massive electronic log fire, marble flooring.

In the middle of the room, which is somehow completely intact, several Nosferatu and Ventrue stand leaking Vitae. Two have undergone Final Death. They form a circle. In the middle is the ghost.



"Little trick Maximillian gave me a long time ago" Louis smiles nodding to a circle of blood on the ground containing the ghost.

The Spirit doesn't speak. Instead everybody has a memory of it saying yes, even though they know it didn't. (OOC: I'll convey this with block capitals)

There is a sudden rush of air and a blinding flash. The ghost is gone when the glow fades.

"Thank you my Prince" Louis says regrowing his arm.

The neonates stare at each other. Obviously impressed.

"Actually my Prince where are these forty men coming from?" says Louis.

Louis smiles as he thinks, bewildered and excited at getting such a choice.

"Some of the other clans would really go to town on something like this but....dominate city hall? Like the entire mayoral office?"

'Sounds like fun. I will have my Lasombra meet me there and together we should be able for the task... but I will require your assistance with the Inquistion. It's not just me they want, after all.'
