At birth Caster's parents were advised to raise her as female which means she has been socialised female all her life, although she is XY. I really feel for her, it's a very difficult situation but I don't believe the rules can/should be changed to fix a rare and hard case. This case could have been resolved years ago but the ruling bodies swept it under the carpet not realising the trans wave was coming to totally blow it all up.

Meh. If she was a randomer just discovering that she was incorrectly sexed, I would have have some sympathy. But she has known this for a very long time and continued to compete and displace natal females and earn a lot of money knowing she was cheating.

I for one couldn’t care less what anyone wears, however male clothing and grooming has become much more feminine in recent years.... skinny jeans anyone

Regardless of opinions on transgenderism etc I believe we all can come together and condemn skinny jeans #banskinnyjeans. Lol

While amusing and ironic on a number of levels the link regarding the leggings highlights the complementing and conflicting views on the implication lot a style of dress.

What happened between the 70's and 80's where heavy metal, metal, and rockers all wore make up and long hair and today?
Sure back then how much and where the make up was applied was differed but no one freaked over a little makeup on men.  I worked with a lad who was better made up than any of us (women) he worked with and no one batted an eye.
How did we end up in a situation where we have a Botox  barbie and ken fashionable look, or skinny jeans etc and ridged dress roles

She's got lady bits too, though, doesn't she? I don't know... her situation is very exceptional.

No, XY dsd is in no way female. Although there are internal testes in this case which probably led to her being "assigned" female at birth. It would have been blatantly obvious when she went through puberty though that this was actually a male person. I can't help but think there has been some level of deception, at least by coaches etc in order to win.

    For anyone wondering:
This wouldn't be an issue if Stonewall weren't such an influential lobby group. So if Alex Drummond is a lesbian, whose rights are they actually lobbying for?

I understand the need to lobby for trans rights but why is it being mixed up with people like this who, on the face of it, just like wearing dresses and stuff?

    Men's rights to trans rights.

Stonewall say homosexuals are gender attracted (not sex)
So boys who do boys do all boys even if they are female

They are all about acceptance without exception.

    But homophobia is fine
The get the L out lesbian campaigns "lesbians don't have penis" has been labeled transphobic, as lesbians do, do "ladydick".

She brings out the lesbian in heterosexual women too.

I think you are being a bit harsh to be fair. If she was raised female like another poster said she was she probably considered herself female and thought she'd every right to compete.

I can imagine it quite an upheavel if you're told at 18 or 19 odd that you are actually a male (chromosomely at least) anyway.

And considering a women's shelter was targeted by some "coalition against trans antagonism" and lost its funding because men weren't allowed in a women's shelter... There's definitely women hatred going on

Ms Oger was a key driver 20 years targeting a women's only rape centre. The others in Vancover all folded, so this one is the last one. She got the funding for it dropped.

And being forced to do waxing is the same as a nurse or a care worker giving personal care to someone.

I have started to check the supporters on twitter the semi ration ones on waxing
    UK labour and sex workers
Vancover pride objecting to the Public Libuary marching on transphobia and anti-sex worker

Male gender critics get baned less
Violent threats against women ignored but use a wrong pronoun = suspension or ban

Well I think erasure is going too far(though a little respect is a gr8 track), but it certainly needs watching and constant questioning of some truly insane "progressive" bullshite that seems to contain even more added shite as the years go by.

Now I'm about as not on board with modern feminism as it's possible to get, but I'm with the so called "TERF's" on this point.

    Chest feeding

I kid you not, because women need to be nice and intersectional.

Top surgery, kind of like collateral damage

    Trans women on their periods

Labour UK have a number of trans women women's officers
Women who objected were kicked out

Now on twitter if you follow a pro woman's group which is deemed transphobic the follower like JK Rowling is deemed transphobic

I kid you not; this is real:

Lewisham Labour councillor comes out to council colleagues as circumgender/trans: a circumwoman is someone born female & identifies as female, but thinks she should have been born male & transitioned to female, because they feel like they are trans.

Is it because she’d like to experience a ‘Canadian wax’, perhaps?

Or is there a better chance she simply likes to bring attention to herself when it’s reached the point that nobody cares if she’s a lesbian or not?

Or is it some sort of fetish or kink that leads her to believe she should have been a male to female lesbian transgendered person so she could have a penis to play with until she’s bored, or needs some more attention?

I am genuinely struggling to understand how in the hell to wrap my head around such nonsense. And why, why, why anyone would think anything useful can be gained by making such bizarre claims.

There’s an awful strange rabbit hole to crawl down when you click on some of the linked tweets in that Mhairi Black tweet. Bizarro world.

Twitter game on, type stuff .
( also pick a number count the tweets down click through the posters account by the same number and see whats posted and hope the FBI don't come looking) < degrees of sepration idea.

Why it's acceptable to get waxing threads are funny as hell

The amounts of men who support actual vagina waxing,
one guy did a 6 tweet justification

I guess she didn't quite get enough attention when she came out as "disabled" back in 2014 rolleyes.png

So now people are seeking praise for not having to do anything, make any sort of an effort to change their lives or have dealt with any sort of hardships! How is this not seen as just taking the píss by the Trans community?

Totally worth a watch is Ben (also known as GNC Centric ) talking with Claire Graham (MRKH - recently banned from twitter for Wrongspeak) about trans activism and its effect on Intersex advocacy https://youtu.be/VeHgeQf0zOU

and I found a really interesting and informative document written by DSD Families in Scotland, as part of a submission to the Scottish parliament (regarding potential changes to recordning an individual's sex on the census.)

Intersex (DSD-Differences of Sex Development) is not a sexual orientation or an 'identity'. People who have intersex conditions are male or female people who have some kind of issue with the development of their sex characteristics. They are not hermaphrodites and they are not a third sex and they don't have an intersex brain.

    https://www.parliament.scot/S5_European/Inquiries/CensusBill_DSDFamilies_CTEEAS518CB33.pdf

According to Olive Wilson of Intersex Ireland there are 117,000 intersex people in Ireland. I didn't realise the conditions were quite so common - as common as red heads.

    Stunning(1) and brave

    It's a trans ally (genuine ) v gender critical (irony/PFO) phrase

Applied first (?) to Caitlyn Jenner for Transing in a Hollywood/US society.
Our society has normalised plastic surgery so much that "botch repair job" is good TV rather than a "health" warning. It's easy to be stunning when you can afford to pay for it.

Most of us older "middle age moment"(2) folk have lived through the age where:
It was actual stunningly shocking for someone to admit that they were homosexual.
It was stunningly extra brave to do this during the hight of the AIDS(3) epidemic.

    (1) My dear you look stunning tonight
    (2) demeaning dementia calling women "stupid old women", who can be ignored (aka "silly daddy" said peppa pig) verbal abusive control
    (3) AIDS was a "gay only" killer disease caught by being in proximity to the "typhoid mary" gay man. There was no cure so it was a death sentice
    https://inews.co.uk/opinion/comment/the-lesbian-blood-sisters-who-helped-save-gay-mens-lives/

Or the men and women who made the first personal statements about the child sexual abuse scandal here in Ireland? They walked a long hard lonely road to better us as a society.

Coming out as a woman when born a woman? I vote with the WOC/black women in the front row.

One of the first case of this I heard was years ago an dsd ice skater observed to have "normal" female presentation. He was either heading for or in the Olympic team when doping Tests raised issues about his sex. Investigation showed that he had male sex organs. He chose to have surgery and live as a man. Got married and had children too.

I think the "Heel stick" test on babies checks these and other birth anomalies?

So how do I tweet an GS to ask what their policy on looking at it would be?

Well I think the whole Circumgender/trans has turned the thing full circle, the Circumgenders want to be called by there biological sex, him or her.
If we're to respect trans rights well the only thing is to call it as we see it, we can't have one rule for some trans people and another for the rest.

This is a long read - 14 pages, single spaces, including references. Essential reading for anyone concerned with the cavalier approach to the treatment of children and adolescents with gender dysphoria.

The Tavistock’s Experiment with Puberty Blockers by MichaelBiggs, Department of Sociology and St Cross College, University of Oxford. (version 1.0.1,29 July 2019)
    http://users.ox.ac.uk/~sfos0060/Biggs_ExperimentPubertyBlockers.pdf

The Tavistock runs a satellite clinic at Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin four times a year, but families must seek help under the treatment abroad scheme to access the Dublin clinic. Apparantly the HSE is developing a transgender model of care - I shudder to think what kind of bad practice they are importing from the UK.
    https://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/transgender-youth-hit-by-lack-of-services-438247.html

The falsification and omission of clinicical data would put Wakefield to shame. It is clear that they are NOT fully informing patients - or more importantly, the parents of the patients in order that they make an informed decision.

If anyone wants the TLDR version of that pdf, these are some of the bits that attention should be paid to, but it's really worth reading it in full:
Carmichael appears on camera to reassure Leo: The blocker is an injection that someone has every month which pauses the body and stops it from carrying on to grow up into a man or a woman....And the good thing about it is, if you stop the injections, it’s like pressing a start button and the body just carries on developing as it would if you hadn’t taken the injection. (BBC 2014) To emphasize this point for the juvenile audience, the film superimposes a pause button on the screen. The clearest indictment of her statement to children comes from her own words a year later: The blocker is said to be completely reversible, which is disingenuous because nothing’s completely reversible. It might be that the introduction of natal hormones [those you are born with] at puberty has an impact on the trajectory of gender dysphoria. (Guardian, 12 September 2015)
GnRHa drugs have never been licensed for treating children suffering from gender dysphoria. The particular drug used in Britain, as in the Netherlands, is triptorelin, which is licensed to treat advanced prostate cancer and sexualdeviance in men; endometriosis and uterine fibroids in women (for no longer than six months); and precocious puberty in children ( Electronic Medicines Compendium 2019). Using GnRHa to treat gender dysphoriais “a momentous step in the dark”,
One further absence deserves emphasis. The 2005 Symposium had noted the paradox that blocking a boy’s puberty left him with stunted genitalia, which were then not sufficient to transform into a pseudo vagina. “Although there are surgical means to deal this difficulty, the patient and her parents or guardians should be fully informed about its implications” (GIRES2005). The Patient Information Sheet failed to mention this.
Blocking puberty effectively destroys the individual’s ability to have children. If the adolescent stops taking GnRHa, fertility should recover, but as we have seen, stopping is exceptional.

The third problem is rarely admitted. Blocking puberty impedes the development of sexual functioning; some children given GnRHa never develop the capacity for orgasm (Jontry2018). There is a strong taboo against mentioning this. The word ‘orgasm’ did not appear in the proposal for the 2011 experiment, and never appears on the GIDS website. When the endocrinologist at GIDS, Gary Butler, was asked about the effect of GnRHa on the ability to orgasm, he refused to answer.
