Have you ever loved someone in the public eye for reasons you can't quite explain?

I have a thing for Mike Myers of Shrek fame. I love him.

Also totally in love with the Rock, even if his head is too small for his body, he makes up for it with that smile. I ovulate on sight of that man.

Have a braincrush on Brian Cox.

    Weird crush on James May.

Still pine after my old maths teacher.

There was a guy I worked with last year with a lopsided smile and twinkly eyes and I would probably have run off to join the circus with him, if he asked. But he didn't.

The surgeon who operated on me recently.

    I'm a crushaholic.

If I ever hear of Tom Hanks behaving less than completely adorably, I'll be personally devastated.

    No pressure, Tom.

David McCullagh on Prime Time - oh my!

Seems like a cranky-head but that's because of the shyte talk he has to listen to from panellists, and I love that he can't conceal his contempt.

An intelligent man - and a silver fox!

All dead now but I've been watching old YouTube clips and interview's the past couple of nights from Richard Harris, Lee Marvin, Oliver Reed, Richard Burton the old Hollywood Hellraiser's of past and forgot how witty and sharped tongued they all were compared to what we get nowadays.

Poor Terry cant seem to keep up with Lee Marvin's wit and sarcasm here :D.

I was watching a Robert Mitchum documentary yesterday, with the very same thing - clips of him on Parkinson and absolutely hilarious!

Yea just watched an interview he did for Dick Cavett and Cavett mentioned how almost every interviewer who he encountered was terrified of him. Bette Davis was another who never could seem to hold back in any which way.

If you're on Instagram he has possibly the most adorable account on there.

    Cristiano Ronaldo.

He's more than likely a sociopath, but his dedication to his profession is absolutely insane and in that regard he's a very admirable sportsperson for young people. Plus, he did play for Utd.

She, Lauren Bacall, Katharine Hepburn, Jane Russell, Joan Crawford, all those tough classic Hollywood broads - I think of them as the female versions of Mitchum et al. Could be awful people but just hilarious.

I met him years ago and he was a lovely man, worked with him a bit. He seems to have let the shock jock persona take over in recent years.

This will go the way of all such threads - the "inexplicable" and "unusual" falling by the wayside early on, and becoming just "people I like or don't like".

Niamh from fair city, although I'm likely confusing love with lust. A divil in the sack I'd say, but I wouldn't have the head for looking at her cranky mug post coitus.

He's obviously a knob but I absolutely love Mario Balotelli, Touch of madness to him that you simply don't see in professional sports let alone football.

Also love old Prince Philip. Like your racist Granddad

A writer called Cat Marnell. She wrote a memoir called How to Murder your Life. It's aimed at women, but I read it and fell a bit in love with her. She's a paradox. She's so perfect - hilarious, stunning and very intelligent - and yet so incredibly flawed at the same time.

It’s been unreal to live in a time when two of simply the greatest players ever, even sports people ever in terms of their talent, desire and will to win, have played the game at the same time, same league. Been a privilege in fact. Devastatingly entertaining, skillful and competitive, each with a unique brilliance. We will miss them when they hang up their boots, there will be a MASSIVE void in the sport and sport full stop.
