I am the future people. Were doing fine. Would be great if you all could stop persecuting us.

Have you no empathy for the people who've acquired psychiatric disorders from cannabis use?

I've already said that alcohol is and has caused serious problems, why do you want to add more problems?

We should be looking to get rid of harmful substances not adding more.
Think of the savings our healthcare system would make.
    Ie our tax money

When will we be getting the ball rolling and banning alcohol. Cigarettes too

You can report him. Most likely he's already on the PULSE system anyway. There's not much the Gardai don't know about. The problem from the Gards point of view is catching him. There is no point in raiding his house if he is only holding a small amount of drugs. A typical raid involves 6 to 12 Gardai.

Keep your nose out of his business. I'd be ashamed of myself if I was you.

Did you really think that they would get a search warrant & raid someone's home based on OP ringing the Gardai?

Of course they would. Acting on information is how they end up raiding most homes.

No its not. Or not on information from the likes of OP. They have to get a warrant. They have to demonstrate that there is likely to be drugs in his house. A call from OP wouldn't be anywhere near enough. A call from OP is enough to start a file on him. Most house raids are from information collected from another drug dealer who was caught the night before. They have inside knowledge. They will be able to tell the Gardai that he rang them two days ago saying that he just got some dynamite "stuff" in. Rocket fuel. They will be able to get a search warrant based on the information from the RAT not from a call from OP.

I can't imagine a world where I can ring the Gardai and get someone's home raided based on my phone call with no evidence at all. That would be a scary world. How many ex gf/bf would ring the Gardai just out of spite even though their ex partner never took drugs?

Yes it's enough to contribute to a warrant application for a raid.

To contribute to a warrant but not enough on its own. There is a huge difference between the two.

A phone call from OP on its own isn't enough. The Gardai like to build a case. So the phone call might make them aware of the guy, if they aren't already. They will keep an eye on him, ask informers (RATS) about him and slowly build up a case.

The Gardai know most of the dealers. The trick is to raid their home when they have just gotten a fresh supply of drugs & not when they just ran out of supply.

They use mockies Detectives who carry a rough looking appearance to score for a number of months then go and charge when case is strongm the OP should MTOB

They didn’t acquire anything from Cannabis use, it was already there.

I know exactly how it works.

The problem with the "mockies" approach in OP's case is that the "mockies" will have to be introduced to the lad. He's a small time dealer selling hash or grass to his mates and mates of his mates. How does the "mockies" get into his circle. There are very few dealers that will sell to strangers without an introduction from another client.
