    Swoofer - I'm running "Simple_Ten_Eighty (1920 X 1080)

I went to the installed plugins, but Movie Organiser is not there. I actually went to look to see if there is an equivalent plugin, and the only one I can find that's similar is "moviemanager" but it refuses to install - saying it's a corrupt file

Openvix has this built in nowadays , so wont allow the plugin to install anymore. ( out of date plugins are the number one source of E2 crashes )

Got to recordings , press menu , settings , and about half way down the page you will see " enable automatic collections" which will gather your recordings into folders according to series name.

There are a number of options these days depending on where you want recordings kept. Its best to keep them in Movies.

I see you have another thread where you have hassle with recordings but it looks as if you created your own directory and that is something I have never done. The standard Vix has lot of bits embedded and caters for most needs and that as andy says is an item similar to movie manager, once enabled it groups all of say corrie together, loose women, late late etc. makes it easier to delete as well. Vix is now at 6.7 and you are on 6.2 so they block updates. I have 6.7 and although it has movie manager shown as available to download it wont install so avoid for now. Can you say what movie manager did when you had it working?

I checked Kodi 21.3 on an android box and it hooked ok to the Zgemma running vix 6.7. And recordings were available.

I dont know how expert you are but if you can handle KODI then you should do this bit no bother. The zgamma has 4 partitions and you can have 4 different images, Vix, Openatv, Openpli, OpenBH BUT for now stick with VIX. When you download you get the option to restore bits from existing image but I would go for a clean install to a spare slot so be careful and dont overwrite existing! Then set up from scratch and add nothing, then set up Kodi, but as you have it configured already it should work BUT you need to set same password in new image.

When I used kodi today I had zgemma running in KODI mode just in case. The other mode is PIP.

To get image go setup vix image manager, yellow, then vix and go for latest, 6.7.020 and as 20 is quite high expect 6.8 soon but stay away from initial new ones.

    if unsure ask away.

    Is openwebif working for people.

I tried it on windows, android phone and iPad and each time can access the bouquets but when you click on the monitor beside the tv show it doesn't play

Yes working for me as just checked why time stopped on box but it is recording. Best to state image version and skin.

Sometimes router and box might need a reboot to clear a bug.

    Thanks

    Openvix 6.7.010 using simple 1080

Edit - there must a setting done incorrectly somewhere.

When I hit the monitor icon on openwebif it's changing channel on the box itself (but not playing on the phone)

Never used phone but try rebooting phone and assume it is logged into your home network.

Thanks Swoofer - as Andy suggested I have it running with the "enable auto collections", and I'm a happy camper. I was just itchy to get the "movie organiser" plugin working, but sounds like thre's no point until at least 6.8 comes and I'll try again without inflicting pain. And with a lot of ignorance of VIX & KODI on my part, I'm too much of a wimp to try your suggestion on downloading the different images to different partitions. My history on that road is sad.

But many thanks to both of you for your help

I'm intrigued, what does movie organiser do that the setting enable automatic etc does not do??

@cathy427 this is what you have to do to get stream working, on android phone use the app dreamplayer and configure, be patient, you will be pestered re ads but it does work.

for the PC you will need to use Firefox browser, so when in firefox enter ip of box then, I tend to select current, then click on TV BUT NB you need to have VLC player loaded on PC, when you click on TV a popup appears, its an m3u8 file, click on it you should get VLC running a black screen with sound, now within VLC player go to top LEFT and click on media then open file and see file like this " skynews.m3u8, click on it and voila you get picture.

For ipad you will need the all e2remotelite APP but there is also a pro version. when you download the e2remotelite it does bits but you pay to get full function and remove ads its 2.99 and 2.99. Pro may be a lot better.

Just to say I'm surprised the Xgemmah7s is so bad for webif and playback. I don't use the zgemma myself for normal use and did not realise webif was so bad. I use a UNO4KSE and its chalk and cheese but at a price.
