They've literally shot back up in price in the last few minutes, bit as it stands, they're currently still 39.99 in Argos.

Will this work in China for Google, Net-flicks and Amazon ?

My experience with vpnunlimited and nordvpn on firestick - vpnunlimited is great for BBC iPlayer, but that doesn't seem to work with channel 4 player or ITV for me. NordVPN doesn't work with iPlayer but works for channel 4.

But of a pain really. Maybe ExpressVPN is better but it's expensive

Could anyone post a guide on how to get the Rte player working on the new Fredrick. I was able to side load but couldn't get it to work.

    Did you install version 3.0.4?

You can get it from here.

    https://apkpure.com/rt%C3%A9-player/air.RTE.OSMF.Minimal/versions

Once you have that working you need to install Mouse toggle firestick.
This link below will show you how to install the app and also how to use it and then you should be able to get rte player working.

    https://www.firesticktricks.com/mouse-toggle-firestick.html

Its not the nicest way to navigate through the app but at least it will work for you

all4 isn't geoblocked. looks like it detecting the vpn though & won't work because of it

That's what I thought. But it's not working whether I have the VPN on or not! Will delete it and download it again later

Getflix smart DNS definitely works and I have been using it for years. The lifetime version won't work for US Netflix except on a PC.

    I got the same issue.
    Solution that worked for me:
    Uninstalled the original app
Bought the pro version in play store (on my phone)
Load the app to your firestick via your phone
Disable and re enable ADB de bugging
    Done
It worked very well for me!

It was stuck on starting for me but still works on double pressing play.

Just about to try out RTE on the firestick there.

Why does it have to be version 3.0.4? Have they disabled something in later versions?

Ok, I've installed 3.0.4. Mouse toggle is working.

I have switched RTE1 to full screen, but can't get back out of full screen. Anybody know how?

I'm not in front of it now but use the mouse and down towards the bottom press it to bring up the time line and the shrink box should be there. Select it again to shrink,

Yes, expressVPN is one of the better ones in china. They're all patchy enough but it's the one I've had the most success with.

Ye should check out the Pluto TV app on the Fire Stick as well. Loads of good stuff on it including quite a few old James Bond movies.

Might sound like a stupid question but can you record on the Fire stick?

I have said no but my daughter says her friend told her she can.

I have an IPTV app sideloaded, there is small scope for recording but not say full series.

If you have Plex and a Plex Pass you can set up the DVR on your server and access it from the Fire Stick. It works reasonably well. Doesn't do series link but possibly will in the future.

I guess I'd have to wait for Black Friday for this to be reduced again...

Not necessarily, they (Amazon) reduce them fairly sporadically throughout the year, set up a camel camel camel alert for them to set you when they drop below say 29.99.

Also note, when Amazon reduce them, Argos usually do at the exact same time matching the price.

I just queried this with Unlimited VPN. They say that they don't expect to be able to get around it. Must be likely that the BBC will follow.
