Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My understanding is that admin staff working through an agency who got on the panel are in the process of being offered jobs, subject to a semi official embargo on jobs that are not front line.

Did these candidates by default score higher than all other candidates?

I cant imagine this is the case as it would be a very unfair process. I know a number of agency workers which interviewed and the procedure was the same as mine with no additional info or benefits

That would also be my understanding, I don't understand how current agency staff could be appointed before other candidates if their scores were not higher.

The email from Tusla stated offers would be sent every month and only those placed highest in oom would get first preference for vacancies.

When did you get this email ? Is that a separate communication from the one with your interview scores ?

    It was in that email:

    .....

I refer to your recent application and attendance at the interview for the Clerical Officer Grade III Campaign.

I am pleased to inform you that you were recommended by the interview board and you will be placed on a Panel (Talent Pool). Due to the nature of this National Campaign, we will not be releasing your individual panel position. However, at a later stage, we will be confirming your grouping on this panel i.e. if you have placed within 1-50, 50-100, etc.

This Talent Pool will be in operation for an initial period of 12 months but may be extended as required. Please find attached your interview marking sheet. Please note that this Panel placement is not a guarantee of an offer of employment. A number of vacancies currently exist and will be offered out to this panel in order of merit in the form of an Expression of Interest email. Please be advised that this Talent Pool (Panel) may have placements that are jointly placed. Expressions of interests are sent out to the panel providing the opportunity for each candidate to view all existing vacancies at that time, each candidate will have the opportunity to choose which vacancy would be most suitable and formal offers will be made in order of merit. Full instructions on this process will be relayed in due course.

The interview board appreciated the time and effort you put into preparing and attending for interview.

    FAQ

What does it mean that the formal offer will be made in the order of merit?
A formal offer will be made to the candidate who scored highest among those who had expressed an interest in a particulate post.

    Where are the vacancies available?
We are unable to state the number and location of the vacancies and this is an ongoing process.
Once a vacancy is identified, Expression of interest will be sent out to the Candidate Pool and candidates will have an opportunity to express an interest in particular post or posts. The post will be then formally offered in order of merit.

How often are the EOI’s sent out?
EOI’s are usually sent out once a month, depending on the number of vacancies.

    Kind regards,

As I said previously, I'm guessing not everyone got their results yet, I think someone on this forum was told not to expect their results until January so if that's correct I wouldn't expect the panel to be formed before all results are sent out. My interview was in August and i got my results in november and i know they were still interviewing in October so I wouldn't be surprised if the October ones would in fact get their result in January. Forming a panel before that would be unfair

Has anyone been told they didn’t make panel. Seems everyone who went for interview made the panel. I wonder will there be many jobs

I did not make it.....after what I felt was a very good interview.... can’t believe it tbh as I was extremely well prepped for he competency based interview...

I assumed everyone who did an ok interview made panel but just ranked differently. I did my interview in June and only got results in November. Really hope something comes of it and hope that most jobs are not given to agency staff. Does anyone have any idea of amount jobs? Seems like it was a popular competition x

Not a thing, has everyone received their results at this point? IMO this recruitment process has been extremely drawn out and going nowhere fast

Unfortunately haven't heard a thing! Really hoping it'll move faster once in the New year..

Inside the greater Dublin area I would guess that it would be between 10 and 25.

I know in Dublin SE - Wicklow a few agency staff for Clerical roles went to people from the 2017 panel for permanent positions as I was one of them :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 11 MMULCAHY2016

so if you were from the 2017 panel and have just been made permanent, maybe the new panel created in 2019 is for positions in 2020.
That kinda would explain why no one has been contacted yet.??

Unfortunately I wasn't I was there through the agency and two of us had to leave as they filled our places with the 2017 panel.. I made this panel so hoping this year to get back there permanently!

Just curious to what score you got to be placed in top 100 and also what area 😁

I got 357 for west area can imagine there will be enough jobs

  • Registered Users Posts: 374 ✭✭Ollie321

IMO: It seems like a massive waste of resources to have interviewed so many candidates for such a small ratio of jobs

  • Registered Users Posts: 372 ✭✭youandme13

    I got 901-1000 :(

I wonder how many people were interviewed if you are 900-1000
Can I ask what score you got ? I hope there is a huge amount of jobs I’m presuming there is

I think I got 290-300 can't remember exactly but I got a bit over the pass mark :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 45 K12345678!

That seems like such a high score to get that ranking there must be well over 1000 on panel then makes not much sense. I suppose depends on your region how lucky you are fingers crossed for us

Excellent score. Lot of the first 100 would be based on east coast id say. Wouldn't worry if I was you

Thanks vologda69 not feeling very confident but really hoping there is enough jobs. I think offers would be starting almost immediately for the first 1-100 what do you think? Can’t imagine there would be a huge wait now?

Yep 400 to 500 wouldn't hold out much hope for that :D:D. will just have to keep tipping away in Revenue and wait and see. Good luck everyone who got thro.

Shador74 you would wonder why the interviewed so many though if the jobs weren’t there?

As far as I know there was a employment embargo for years so maybe there is that many jobs and also could be a lot up for retirement. Hard to believe they could spend nine months interviewing and doing a panel with very few jobs. Trying to stay positive here

Ya I think your right. There should be a large number of posts. It's just very frustrating the way this campaign is being run. Fingers crossed people will start getting offers soon.

Wonder if they will match your pay civil service vs Tusla? If you where to move up a point in civil service & then get a job w Tusla or vice versa.
