I think it might be a good time to cash in my original investment in Eth and BTC. Then leave all the rest and take a break from watching it all day and night!!! Come back in several months and see where I am. Am at 5.5x my original investment in those.
Then it can soar or crash and either way I have lost nothing or made a fortune. I do need a few things though.
Would love to stick the 1k I made on ALGO just recently into another alt coin but am restricted to Coinbase Pro and they have a limited selection of alts plus everything seems to be at an ATH! I did a lot of looking at the various projects and the one that I think has very good long term potential is LINK but I already have a stake in that since Early January. Any alts tradable on Coinbase that are worth a gamble?

Why are you restricted to coinbase. I bought most of the alts I have on binance, the ones I couldn't get there I foraged for on huobi, bitforex and hoo. Each time I purchased usdt on binance and transferred over so only one site had my details. I think that some of the alts on the polkadot ecosystem will have a good year xor, pha, ren, and xed are a few I bagged none of which are on coinbase or binance. Transferred them all to my trustwallet

Any down sides to investing via the Revolut platform?

Any down sides to investing via the Revolut platform?

Fees higher than Kraken and others.

Any down sides to investing via the Revolut platform?

Spreads between buy and sell prices are high, fees are high and you don't actually hold your own private keys. It's probably ok for beginners who want exposure to crypto but you're better off going to a real exchange.

I don't know, but it sure will be good for bitcoin. There's a hidden secret message there.

You'd expect it to go to 100k and upward. The boat has well and truly sailed for me.
Puting 5k in to make 10k is silly, that' won't change any ones life.

I recall telling you to buy at 18k , 2 months back. Gotta pull the trigger sooner in this game.

If Bitcoin gets to 1million that's close to 20x your investment. 50k seemed unimaginable in 2015

I get that I shouldn't keep my coins on Coinbase so is it any better to put the Coinbase wallet on a spare phone and put everything on there? It seems a lot more convenient for when I want to sell some of it and with with 2-factor authentication using my normal phone and keeping them on a spare phone that will be turned off most of the time and never leave the house would it be better? I have used Exodus for very small amounts in the past but the convenience of not needing to put the addresses in to move between the wallet and exchange is nice and I don't have anything that isn't on Coinbase.

I bought the BTCs I currently have at an average price of 4k $ and now I am obviously over the moon to see them at 56k $ each, however I feel a lot people are getting a bit carried away by this madness if we are at a point where 100% ROI is not considered anything but amazing! I would exchange my last year Bitcoin's return with a life-time guarantee 20% yearly return on my investments without even thinking about it for one second if I could.

Agreed here fully, starting with a 100k intial capital, it will only take you 13years to turn that into a million compounding it at your guaranteed 20% every year.

Coinbase is probably one of the safest custodian wallet options but there's always a risk of losing your crypto. But maybe it's the best option for you if you're regularly buying and selling or trading.

How do I store all my crypto in an offline wallet rather than having them all on Binance? Is that still even s thing anymore?

Open a wallet. There are multiple types, depending on whether that are online, offline, hardware, software etc.
All wallets essential consist of address pairs.
To transfer from binance. Just send your wallets address.

Coinbase is one of the more secure exchanges is it not?

Just to clarify, I meant that I am thinking of using the Coinbase wallet app which is separate to the exchange app and gave recovery keys when I set it up, would that not be storing the crypto on the phone?

I'm not sure exactly myself and figured I'd ask before sending the crypto, no point moving it if it's no more secure than leaving it on the exchange.

I think the exchanges are much better now. The risk before was a combination of the exchange shutting down or getting hacked and you lose your money.

But if you are on coinbase it is pretty established.
To gain access to the account.
You need the email and password
If you are on an IP it doesn't recognize you need to verify via email.
If they get in you can whitelist addresses so they can't send any coins out for 48 hours.
Put a limit on withdrawals too.

I feel like I'm much more likely to lose the private key or 12 word passphrase to be honest.

Took a punt on an EFT coin about two weeks ago Ecomi (OMI), tip from a friend and it has appreciated 645% in the last 4 days. Try and get that type of return on the stock exchange.

$60,000 before the month is out I reckon. Wouldn’t mind a bit of sideways action then to keep the dca average lower for a while.

snap!...just on the last ten minutes of it - albeit that it is waaay too long. With my attention span, I've retained 5% of it. Some snippets...
    - He suggests that bitcoin miners - those that are publicly listed or about to get publicly listed - will stop selling bitcoin and just finance it all via debt issuance.

    - "I think if you add up all of the store of value asset classes, you'd probably find yourself getting to a $200 trillion number".

If you have a reasonably high end Samsung phone, using the secure folder function to store wallets in is a pretty good option, IMO. As the secure folder is essentially a secure phone within a phone, I don't see an advantage to a second device. There is a risk with a second phone that if you left it for a long time without charging it, the Li-ion battery might become totally flattened, in which case it might not charge again and you would have to open it to gain physical access to the battery and force a bit of juice into it by connecting the battery to a dumb 3.7v power source for a couple of minutes and then reassemble it and then it should start charging normally.

Since electronic devices are always vulnerable to failure - passing cosmic rays taking out a chip - I think one should always have a doomsday backup consisting of the 12 - 24 word seed/pass phrase of your wallet witten on a piece of paper and stored somewhere secure, like a safety deposit box in Switzerland. ;)

What was the argument for chainlink again? I cant find it here.

Imagine posters here fighting over which car is better , BMW or Ford, Honda or Toyota, would you care which car is best as long as they are going to buy one as you own the technology that all the cars remote key fobs use and get paid $100 for every car sold which uses your key fob tech.
You are getting paid from every single car manufacturer for every car made, you don't care who sells the most as you make money from every car sold world wide.
Think of Chainlink as the key fob.
The fan boys on here who argue over which coin is best, i care not for who is correct, they will all be using Chainlink and as a holder i will be making money no matter which is better.
Get Chainlink and wait for the money to roll in, Arbitrum is close to launch, IYKYK.

    ETH gas fees are crazy

DOT & ADA will capitalize on this

Serious question , do posters do any research or just jump on a coin based on a hunch?
Posters round here really dont know what Chainlink is going to do once Arbitrum is released, if lucky early March , but likely April/May.

I could tell you now, but it would be better for posters to DYOR, if its not posted here by March 1st i'll spill the beans.

Dimon is a rat, like Cramer and most hedge fund managers. Have you ever stopped to ask how these guys can be so wrong so often, yet their firm remains profitable and they are in a job for so long?

    .

I seen a report years ago that if investors did the opposite of what Jim Cramer recommended they would have made substantially more money, Goldman Sachs have been caught out numerous times doing the opposite of what they where advising clients to buy or sell.
Blythe Masters left JPM to set up Digital Asset Holdings, i would bet a kidney JPM and Dimon have been stacking BTC and where spreading FUD to try keep the price down.

Looking to buy NXS. It's on binance but can I only buy certain coins with certain other coins? Seems to only be the option to buy it with BTC

Would it hurt to let us know why you are interested in NXS?
Dont be afraid thats others might make a purchase and make some profit, there is plenty to go around.

BTC is going to go up as the Coinbase IPO is coming up, the suppression bots are off and the pump bots are on.
