When exactly did McGregor find GOD?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 702 ✭✭✭US3

Straight after the Khabib fight. He even changed his twitter bio, it used to be Making history everyday, now it's pray everyday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,808 ✭✭✭Man Vs ManUre

Conor should replace IG for this wknd event.

The real reason why the ufc are not offering a fight to Conor is because of his refusal to grow back his great beard. And they are right too, he looks like an actual bum with this clean shave style.

Micky Chandler at middleweight in the desert in June. Thats about two 12 week cycles of HGH away with some PCT inbetween.

I know Chandler isn't renowned for his fight IQ but he would be no joke at 185 in terms of brute power, and considering neither guy is even close to being a real middleweight in conventional terms.

Given numerous rumours and tweets I will believe he is fighting the octagon(I think that is) and not a moment before

Judging by his maniacal laugh at the end of his post I'm fairly sure he was joking about the weight class at least

Time is contagious, everybody's getting old.

I'm even surprised he's fighting chandler, thought he was looking for something easier.

Regardless of when it is, it has to be Chandler. Chandler has been sat out for over a year waiting for this payday. Looks like it'l be nearly 2 years between fights at this stage.

Its a very awkward position for Chandler, the guy has not fought for over 12 months as he has waited for Conor which is understandable considering the money he would earn , hopefully it will happen because if not what a waste of time for him especially when you consider his age.

No official announcement yet from the UFC,,,,I wonder how much longer Chandler waits for this to be signed, because I am sure Dana could find a slot for him on UFC 300 against someone who will show up!

I doubt the fight happens. Conor has been completely irrelevant as a competitor years now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,286 ✭✭✭✭The Nal

True, but the only thing that makes me think it'll happen is Chandlers lack of activity.

Chandler fought 5 times in under 2 years since he came the the UFC but hasnt fought once since the McGregor rumours. I guess maybe losing 3 of those fights is an issue. Risk another loss and maybe the McGregor fight goes away

Conor is finished as a serious MMA fighter since he fought Eddie back in 2016 , I still think that Conor would have beat Khabib

He then went to fight Floyd, He made the money to set himself & family for life but that was the end of him being a serious MMA fighter, his whole style changed & his hunger for the sport died & his bad habbit's outside the cage started , .

Now we can't be to harsh as he literally completed what he & many other fighters start for & that is finical security ,

He wil be 36 on his return & out of the cage 3 years he doesn't have a prayer of wining ,

If people (not you in particular) think that Chandlers inactivity is a concern, Conors has to be even bigger. It'll be 4 years since he beat Cerrone, and in that time frame his lifestyle isn't exactly speaking to an athlete concerned about longevity, and the leg break and KO to Dustin.

No matter the weight, I have this for Chandler.

When I meant Chandlers inactivity is an issue I only meant it points to Chandler defo thinking the fight is happening, nothing to do with the result. I dont think he wouldve sat out this long otherwise.

That said, Chandler is about as good as you can get for Conor. Small and hittable.

I think it comes down to durability at this point & Chandler still has the dog in him Conor doesn't

Conor has never been as slick on his feet since he changed his stance and style after the Floyd fight,

Eddie was peak Conor then the boxing changed him forever, Money wise for good fighting wise for bad

I would agree with the last statement if it were an active, undistracted Conor. He hasn't been active, coming off 2 big losses, leg break, a lifestyle that doesn't point towards that of a top athlete.

Chandler is a very very bad match up for him. Pretty much any fighter is, to be fair.

    Its why guys fight ,

Conor in that sense is the most successful UFC fighter of all time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,013 ✭✭✭✭rob316

It'll be the same story, get passed the first round and Conor doesn't have the stomach or tank for a fight. Chandler has that dog in him and constant pressure. Gaethje absolutely flogged Chandler but there was no quit in him.

Chandler/Conor likely boils down to cardio-fight stamina. Conor never had great stamina for a decent paced fight, and now aged 35/36, he’ll be huffing and puffing even earlier. If pace is decent, I’d expect Conor to fold end round 3

mcgregor will be trying to position one last big pay day in Saudi I’d imagine , he’s done as anything apart from a novelty

That’s some seriously good acting from Conor in the new Roadhouse trailer. I predict Best supporting Oscar 2025 will be his.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,094 ✭✭✭dashoonage

if he's going acting he might as well go to wwe at this stage.

That trailer is not as bad as I expected, looks like brainless fun, even McGregor doesn't look as awful as I thought he might. Got a good laugh from the comments. "Conor just living his normal life"
