A sharp memory,lad..and an eye for detail.

Traits that have availed me well over the years..especially when it comes to "de-bagging" members of the fairer sex.

I suppose as an embalmer you would be after them older mummies? :D
It all sounds a bit 'in my day' etc and you find the need to talk yourself constantly up in consecutive posts, while intermittently demeaning other posters for some reason?
Whatever floats your boat I suppose - nostalgia is healthy - as long as it is not too rose tinted and narcissistic.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

In my 50’s now. What’s your point? Is there some age limit on enjoying the ride?

I'm 38 and as off last month I'm single again. It feels like I was 26 and 3 years later I'm 38 so getting old is a pain. I'm getting back to the gym and will be keeping myself busy but the likelihood of dating in my 40s scares me so posts like yours make me feel a lot better. Now I'm grand with the get out there with hobbies and meet people and do online dating.. the thing I worry about is when I am in my 40's and 50's will I find lots of women in there 40's and 50's attractive. At 38 I find there are tons of attractive women in there 30's .. can someone answer this for me.. when I age up do I automatically become more attracted to the women who have aged up with me? Do men in there 50's look at 50 year old women and think she's gorgeous? Sorry in advance if I've offended any women or if I'm been an idiot. I guess I just want someone to verify that chasing women, sex and intimacy is still amazing when your old.. as if it is I really don't have anything to worry about

I got to be honest I read that line as 'is the hair thinner up on that high horse?'

Jeeze, problem solved. I suppose it was the same when Galileo figured out gravity, I'm sure everyone just went 'Bah! Of course!'.

No younger women are far more attractive.

I'm not surprised, a man that can pipeshoot simultaneously from several orifices - that must surely floor them... :D

I'll be turning sixty next year and I've long reconciled myself with the fact that I have seen more sunrises than I am going to see. Sometimes I stop and laugh at the young men in their thirties who moan about "feeling old," until I realise that I used to be that young man and I that used to feel old. :)

I have few regrets. I've been happily married almost thirty years to a woman who looks as beautiful today as the day I married her. My wife and I raised our two children hoping that they be able to support themselves and live fulfilling independent lives when we're gone. And if I'm no longer with us tomorrow I'm sure they will except for my daughter.

I seriously wonder what I'll be like if I ever have one . In the past hour I've decided I'm going to foster teenagers and learn how to do something fairly complicated . I was always impulsive /knew suddenly what I want to do, though.

Foster teenagers? Wow that would be very challenging depending on their past and any trauma they may have endured. So much disruption already in their lives I imagine, that love and stability would go a long way.

Yes. And when I say ''impulsive '' I don't mean an idle whim...that's all true and I appreciate it very well.

I have an unofficial foster daughter already (seven years younger ) and that's a good description of her experience . She was in the care of a good family but unfortunately that ended and she had a bad few years .

    I'm immensely proud of her.

I've worked for /with teenagers from various backgrounds and they seem to relate to me . Same mental age, maybe :)

I never find 'behaviours' difficult to live with and while I'll need training , at least I know I'm not going to bail out on them or let them down . Most behaviours stem from an unmet need. I'm not in a position to do it yet but it's worth making changes to get there.

I think the seed of the idea was there for years but I only feel confident enough to go in this direction now that I know where I stand with existing commitments . And I'm just getting the chance this past few months to reflect on what I'm good at and what I really want to do next.

I'm calling bull on that Paddy. Young ones in their 20's don't even glance in our direction now.
I tipped into my local tonight for a pint of Arthur. The young one behind the bar says I'll drop it over...As she set it on the table with my change she says "there you are sir"...Made me feel 60!!

I'm guessing scoring is a euphemism for paying for.

    More Pintman and JohhnyFlash please!!!

Pintman, any good exploits lately in the boudoirs of ladies of the night ?

Paddy and Johnny are the same person with multiple accounts. He's already been exposed on the cryptocurrency forum. ;)

    We're all in this psy-op together.🤨

Oh gawd, there’s a cryptocurrent forum on here?

Didn’t think boards.ie would be that irresponsible to promote a scam like that. Supporting something that is basically worthless unless you’d like to purchase drugs or child pornography. Sure those guzzling up massive amounts of energy resources on their mining “rigs” will claim they are in it for the tech but even that tech has pretty much nothing to offer.

Those magic beans are pretty much the same as tulips in the 1630s but on this occasion there are a small number of people are artificially inflating and deflating the bubble and fooling greedy plebs into parting with their money.

As you can imagine, I wouldn’t trust much coming out of that place.

    The tide is turning…

This is perhaps the most ridiculously misinformed and dumbest post I've ever read on on Boards.ie. You quite clearly know absolutely nothing about the subject. :o:rolleyes:

Tulips don't destroy the planet either. The tulpenmanie was a breeze compared to the environmental holocaust cryptominers are trying to perpetuate.
