Was a pure shoulder charge.

Sure, in real time, you could say what could Farrell have done? On the other hand, what was he trying to do in the first place? He wasn't going for a charge down, and he wasn't attempting a tackle.

I don't think it matters what he was trying to do. In the end it was a late, no arms hit with a potential shoulder to the face / upper torso. It's a card all day, every day.

If that's what's Farrell actually did he'll get cited.
Ill be surprised if he is.

Like I said, he's done worse before and not even penalised.

He can't disappear, and he braced himself for contact like most of us would in that situation.
