Was just reading there that the FFR have strict rules on players having French passports and they have next to no players that are resident qualified.

Can't imagine they'd hire a foreign coach with that mindset!

Incidentally, you could argue that every other them benefited from the 3 year rule and have made their teams better, while France have gone backwords :o

sort of ironic as France had amongst the earliest adoption of foreign players for the national team - Tony Marsh remember him?

    played 21 caps 2001 to 2004

44-8 and there is 25 min left.

    French rugby is dead.

21 literally jogged back and allowed that try to be scored

Awful officiating from Owen, Sinkler was a yellow, Bamba was a yellow, May held the replacement scrum half back.

Ntamack jogging back too, talk about a luxury player.

France making Ireland’s performance last week look less poor.

Can England peak again for the World Cup?

They look fantastic at the moment.
So much pace in the back three and Farrell pulling all the strings like a marionette master.

I kinda thought that Owens saying "we're checking everything" meant he was going to look at the French player being held on the ground. But he immediately gave the try as soon as he heard "back off Blue" so he clearly wasn't actually checking everything.

Knowing our luck, straight into a massive performance boost right before they play us at home!

Basteraud would be better off moving in to prop.

Further googling Shows that Bernard Laporte made the selection policy rule...but also handed Tony Marsh his first cap. :pac::pac:

They need to remove Bernard Laporte from any involvement within the sport at any level.

Basteraud would be better off moving in to prop.

There was something about him moving positions if he wants a future with France in Le Figaro or Le Monde this week. Not sure which I only read the headline.

France have actually looked a bit better in attack recently.

They're exploiting England's line speed quite well with cut backs. If they were actually playing for something they might be getting a few line breaks.

    Lol.

Scotland could beat them in 2 weeks.

    Ireland should beat them

They are lucky they have Italy last but if Italy have anywhere near full strength side they could beat them

Bof, looks like the view of most of their players.

England's kicking game over last two games has been absolutely perfect. Youngs, Farrell and Daly all making good decisions and executing well too.

    :(

Ogara would do well against this English team. A precise kicking game could hurt them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,199 ✭✭✭troyzer

Farrell surely for man of the match.
