It could be Brian Cage or Jeff Cobb either!

I wouldn't be shocked if it was PAC after last nights vignette if he was still in Newcastle for the foreseeable future why would they play it.

Brodie Lee needs to stand still when he promos. He moves around on his feet like he’s an amateur actor in a bad local musical.

He needs to stand perfectly still. It’s unnatural and is really playing against him.

I like the guy and hopes he succeeds but this is highlighting why WWE never did anything with him.

At a time when the lack of audience highlights just how silly in ring promos actually look, I'd say Brodie is far from the biggest culprit.

Just taking a recent one, the Ciampa/Kross segment this week on NXT would have your skin crawling it was so awkward. That set off alarm bells, the Lee stuff doesn't but I put that down to atmosphere and production.

Britt Baker out for a long while now by the looks of it.

I would have her move to the commentary team for one show a month no more that than to keep her in the spotlight and not over expose her while she rehabs.

I thought Bakers original injury was her knee and didnt realise it was a concussion and you could see the final moments of the match was all over the place.

Overall i enjoyed Dynamite this week and nearly every match was built up whether in ring or promos etc and def looking forward to Double or Nothing tomorrow. I think they need to wait till they have a live crowd again before they do the turn with Page or whatever they have planned, also it was smart for him to walk out after helping out the Elite to add intrigue to the match.

It’s not the promo. It’s him. Watch him move around awkwardly side to side. It’s a habit. The camera struggles to follow him. If he’d just plant his feet he would come across a lot more assertive. Acting 101.

I'd have to rewatch it but my initial reaction to the segment wasn't that. And honestly I'd rather wrestling moves away from acting 101 anyway, I've had more than emoting in mainstream US wrestling to last me a lifetime.

Awful shame about Britt baker as since her heel turn she is money and if built right could be a huge star in this business. I've loved her promo work. Just superb. What the hell where they up to though ? Why was Nyla rose being thrown onto Britt when she's in the corner ? You've got an 18 X 18 ring to work with so they should use it. It looked sloppy and clumsy and that's a recipe for disaster.

Also loved double A and jake in the ring dropping promo knowledge. That's how you do it. You believed what they were saying. Loved it.

Loads of bigger wrestlers do a cannonball into the corner so that's not really the issue. It just went wrong.

Well yeah but they normally do it by themselves and can control where they land. Nyla rose wasn't in control. Wrestling has inherent risk as part of it, and yes I know stuff goes wrong but when stuff that can be prevented leads to injury it annoys me as a wrestling fan. I don't like wrestlers doing potentially dangerous moves that don't achieve much.

What is up with the commentary? JR is my favourite commentator of all time but he and the team just sound awkward and disinterested a lot of the time. So many awkward silences and then the least enthusiastic "we'll be back after the break" comment I've ever heard. JR making comments like how the DDT used to finish matches and now it doesn't. It made Orange look weak and is not a suitable place to make these comments. Save it for your podcast.
I'm thinking the crowdless environment is making them talk in a softer tone. Whoever is producing them needs to get them to be more enthusiastic. Inject them with caffeine or something.

Penelope Ford replaces Britt Baker against Statlander and Janela is in in place of Rey Fenix in the Casino Ladder match.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,503 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

JR hasn't been good in 20 years and he is a mean nasty dude just trying to get himself over at the expense of everyone else.

AEW don't need him other than name recognition.

And compare him to tony who has been brilliant and shows investment in the product just night and day

Didn't realise Fenix had been injured. I knew it didn't look good. Any word on how bad?

Yes Tony has a love and wants to have fun for as long as it lasts and is trying to learn everything from new moves to new terms etc etc since he was last on the mic you can you can hear the joy in his voice.

JR if he doesn't get it he just buries it and the wrestler and least once an episode.

Old man Sting to save Matt Hardy ?

And Tony’s stuff with Britt has been great big part in getting her more over

Honestly jr worse than Lawler but doesn’t get half the criticism

What time is kick off for Double or Nothing?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,444 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Seeing Meltzer and co saying the Stadium match turned out great and hyping it up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,503 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Seeing it reported that they filmed till 5am last night.

So lets see how they get on with cinematic wrestling, Having Hardy involved should help with that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,073 ✭✭✭ConcertKing

Really gutted bout Britt Bakers injury and just praying it isn't as bad as they fear it to be.

She just has it and is destined for the very top.

Really looking forward to Double Or Nothing and seeing the 'Murderhawk Monster' Lance Archer becoming the first TNT Champion!

In one match, they've potentially ended the career of their most promising star (arguably in the whole company) and completely destroyed the mystique of their top female heel, who, at her relative size advantage, should only bump on very special occasions. Absolutely infuriating on every level.

Looks like the new belt might have that cartoonish red hue that the Universal title had.

Maybe just the stadium match was taped?
