Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some great darts towards the end of that.

Ah f off with that **** already. How many sub 90 averages did we see at the greatest show on earth last week.

With the number 1 seed ????

Wow. I really enjoyed that! Bye bye Lancashire Rose. You had greenfly

That was as good a women's game have seen in Women's for a while..
Suzuki hitting that 140 after Ashton opening 180 in last leg was impressive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,280 ✭✭✭✭mdwexford

Ashton missed a mad amount of doubles.

Suzuki scored well enough though and did well to stick with her.

No idea what the averages were.

Yep its cracked. The winner of the second biggest major this year plays in the preliminary round. Jeff Smith had to do the same after making the final the previous year.

The Japanese ladies Lisa Ashton is playing is supposed to be unreal, if she beats Lisa shell most likely win it.

Should have listened to myself an backed her!!

Nice looking setup there, crowd right up close, bar at the back, low ceiling, I'd say the atmosphere be great for a close game

I think he moved to the PDC, fairly sure he was doing a few graveyard slot games in early rounds.
Else it was someone who modelled themselves on his pwonownciatswhen.

3 dart average in the 60s.... can't believe how poor he was, especially considering he was a former Premier League participant in the PDC. Some fall that!

I hope Andy Hamilton doesn't go through the same thing..

  • Registered Users Posts: 160 ✭✭millhouse

Playing like that he wouldn't win a local pub tournament. That was embarrassing, even his choice of shots was wrong. The amount of missed big numbers. Retirement could just be around the corner for Wesley.

From another thread, someone said they saw him at an exhibition talking to Ten Hankey and heard him say 'I was so bad the crowd were cheering for me'. Hard to believe he was a PL player not that long ago.

Newton should just retire, must be embarrassing for him.

Never took to his smarmy puss anyway.

I’ll be cheering on the Hammer though.

Wezs throw hasn't changed a bit since be was in the PDC Premier League, problem is between the ears.
That was one of the worst performances I've seen on tv. He qualified by default anyway due to people pulling out, has been stink all year.
I hear Hamilton is playing well though would love to see him get back to the big time.

Saw Newton's game earlier, sad to see how far he's fallen, hard to believe he was in the PL as recently as 2014

Jesus, the walk on music for some of the BDO players is shocking. Van Egdoms music was mental. The Commentators were scratching their heads as to WTF it was !!

Veenstra has an intense throw nice first set for him.

Really enjoying the commentary compared to the over the top on Sky.

Only two players have hit averages above 90 so far, and good chance both will be out by tomorrow night

The wiki page for the event is showing all the averages as well as the scorelines

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_BDO_World_Darts_Championship

Wes Newton only has the second worst average so far and as said Nigel Heydon has had the best average so far of 93 and was knocked out while doing it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86
