Kind of brutal not asking them all the same question at the end.

    Unbelievable

    Why are you publishing rumours?

How’s it slander, can u prove it’s not true?

    It’s called a discussion board.

Where is the proof it is true.

The stories have done the rounds and people put 2 & 2 together and get 5.

    Outrageous comments really.

That was very poor stuff really. A lot of bad candidates there and I include the beloved MDH in that

Duffy the big loser tonight. Came across as a complete wind bag.

MDH following behind as an angry hobbit.

Worse mistake.... letting an amateur ask me stupid questions on national television!!!!

How much tax did I pay???? Jesus wept

    Very honest from Casey there

If he was a bit more polished and articulate he would have a great chance

  • Registered Users Posts: 45,335 ✭✭✭✭Bobeagleburger

Casey is more of a car salesman.

What is that ****e about asking loaded questions to different candidates
If I was a candidate I would be taking them up on that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,747 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

It's all pointless at this stage as the little fella is going to win and tbh none of the other candidate's have said anything to swing the vote.

I did expect more from the dragons but they've been very poor.

Nice tactic speaking Irish all the same. 95% of people probably can't understand it.

Might be just aswell if they all spoke more Irish, a lot of what they said in English did more harm than good to them :)

Micky D wants his epithat to be that he worked all his life for the people of Ireland. Even he doesn't fancy his chances of getting through another 7 years.

    It'll go something like

"In my political life - I had a hell of a good time!"

    McCullough was a disaster.

You're joking? He was the best part of the debate I thought. He was bloody hilarious. And called everyone up on their bull****...kept repeating the question when the candidates were trying to avoid a direct answer. (like Liadh Ní Riada trying to say €70k is the average salary  ) His audible sighs and directness were a breath of fresh air to be honest.

You've hit the nail on the head there.
He's a successful version of Bill Cullen.

References to MDH's appearance, height or speculation regarding his sexuality is in bad taste IMO. There's plenty to criticise him for without resorting to school yard put downs

    No-one is criticising his sexuality.

He is being rightfully taken to account for his deceit.

I don't think anyone came out of that debate as a winner tonight.

You must have watched a different debate did you?

MDH evaded, pontificated, and got cranky when pressed (too rarely) on specifics

He was unfit to be president last time (only winning because of Gallagher's twitter issues) and he's even more unfit now

Lol. I'm so sorry about that.
Nobody had a clue what articles are what in the constitution

Feck it sure learning the constitution can be part of "on the job training"

    Very honest from Casey there

His honesty was underlined by Saint Joan copying his answer.

I dont get the unconditional love for him. He's obviously the establishment safe candidate.

Such crap right at the end. "Peter Casey, what would you say is your worst trait?"

We're not idiots. Asked the same question briefly to one other candidate as if to show impartiality.

Moving swiftly along with certain questions, laughing at the attendees, showing contempt with his attitude
Then pointed questions to finish it

Whole debate was a travesty with an obvious pointed bias

And a sly smirk to say goodbye
