    Napoli 3 - 0 Monaco

Napoli initially started the stronger of the two teams from the kick off but as the first half developed Monaco managed to assert themselves and take control of the game. Therefore it was slightly against the run of play when Hamsik played a peach of a ball over the top of the Monaco defence who were caught napping as Mertens ran onto the pass and finished smartly on the half volley in the 36th minute.

The goal appeared to rock Monaco and some smart play between Hamsik and Callejon created space for Milik to finish from just outside the six yard box in the dying minutes of the first half. 2-0 at half time.

Monaco had no choice to push forward in the second half and Napoli seemed content to soak up the pressure choosing to hit their opponents on the break. The inevitable happened in the 86th minute when Insigne, who started the game on the bench, cracked one home from just outside the box after a clearance from Verdi's cross feel kindly at this feet.

    gg Jipo!

    Napoli 2 - 0 Valencia

An absolute robbery in Naples. The game started even enough with both sides creating chances early in the game before Zielinski's through ball met Mertens who calmly took the ball in his stride before lashing home from just inside the box after 31 minutes.

What happened next can only be described as the Valencia vs Ospina show, with cameo appearances from Koulibaly and Albiol. The shots rained in on Napoli's goal as they were under seige from the moment they scored. Anything the two center backs couldn't deflect behind was dealt with by Ospina.

And of course lady luck showed she can indeed be a bit a tramp as in the 89th minute, on one of the rare occasions that Napoli got out of their half, a chipped ball over the top by Younes found Insigne's run around the back and he cooly slotted it home.

Genuinely Batesy you deserved a lot more than you got from this game!

    Valencia 0 - 8 Lazio

Clinical display from Immobile bagging 4 goals in a dominant display from the away side. Valencia can’t defend to save their lives and spurn too many chances once again.

Man United (itsHoggie) 0-3 Liverpool (Colemaniser)

First half was closely contested, but I tried to play the second half with the same tempo as the first and left my self open which Colemaniser punished me for with 3 very well taking goals. Good game!

    Marseille (scange01 ) 1 - 3 Tottenham (az1234)

A close game where all the goals came late on I think, can't really remember as we played it last night! Eriksen scored 2 but not sure on the other 2 goals! Think it was Kane for Spurs and Germain for Marseille!

    PSG (ivefoundgod87) 1-0 Spurs (az1234)

PSG started brightly with some good possession without ever really threatening Hugo Lloris. After 20 minutes Spurs got to grips with the PSG setup and began to take over, creating a few half chances before Harry Kane brought a wonder save out of Buffon to keep the score 0-0 at half time.

The second half was a slightly more even affair until Di Maria threw himself to the floor on the edge of the Spurs penalty area. To howls of derision from the Spurs players the referee gave the free kick. Spurs anger would only grow as Neymar slotted the free kick past the helpless Lloris to make it 1-0 on the hour mark.

The goal brought new energy to the Spurs attack and they pressed and pressed for an equaliser, Harry Kane being denied only by the woodwork after some calamitous defending from PSG. Neymar and Mbappe looked dangerous on the counter without ever testing Lloris and eventually PSG decided they'd take what they had and brought on Lassana Diarra to try tighten things up. Spurs tried and tried but the equaliser never materialised.

    A fortuitous win for PSG.

Played last night but don't see it up yet. :)

    Olympique de Marseille 4 - 3 Rangers

This was an unusual game for the Gers as Marseille began rather patiently, encouraging Rangers to come out and play a bit of football rather than their usual sit back and defend tactic. Marseille took an early lead, and eventually doubled their advantage about 20 minutes later. However, Rangers showed that they can indeed play a bit of football and created a few chances themselves. Eventually, they were attacking endeavour was rewarded with a free kick at the edge of the Marseille box. Up stepped Super Graham Dorrans to curl a beautiful right footed effort straight into the top corner [almost] to leave the sides 2-1 at the break.

Rangers started brightly in the second half, eventually leading to yet another free in a similiar position to the previous one, but a little further out. Can lightening strike twice? You bet it can as Dorrans sweetly struck yet another beauty into the top corner [almost] to leave the sides level. Ten minutes later though, Marseille retook the lead, only to yet again lose it after Alfredo Morelos found himself with a great chance inside the Frenchmen's penalty area and he duly dispatched sweetly to haul his side level once more. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts to hold on to what would be a memorable (and possibly even deserved but maybe that's going too far! :pac:) point, the hosts managed to carve out one last opportunity to take victory and claim all three points.

Great game though, in fairness! :):)

    Rangers 2 - 0 Paris Saint-Germain (Who??)

On a snowy night in Glasgow, the Gers this time welcomed French giants PSG to Ibrox hoping that maybe, just maybe, there may be an early Christmas miracle in the offing. The match began in typical Rangers style, allowing PSG to take the lionshare of possession, while always looking to pounce on any potential counter attacking opportunities through Alfredo Morelos (in for Kyle Lafferty) and Ryan Kent. Then, a hopeful long ball looking to release Morelos was collected by a PSG defender who seemed to have everything under control. However, due to the high pressuring from Scott Arfield, the defender was force to pass back to Gianluigi Buffon, who was then dispossessed by Arfield, leaving the Scotsman with an easy tap-in to open the scoring. PSG continued to dominate possession but were continually frustrated by the hosts defence, who managed to hold their slender lead until half time.

The second half, yet again, followed the same pattern of PSG dominating possession but some superb defending, coupled with a few slices of luck, kept their more illustrious visitors at bay time and time again. Then, fifteen minutes from time, a Rangers counter attack which reached the visitors box was only half dealt with, and Morelos reacted quickest to the loose ball, poking the ball past Buffon who could only watch as it trickled into the far corner. The stadium erupted. 2-0 up, fifteen minutes left. Was this going to be the day? The last fifteen minutes were effectively just played in the Rangers half but, just like the 75 minutes than went before, the hosts defence remained steadfast, frustrating the likes of Neymar and Mbappé time and time again. Eventually, when the final whistle came, it was met with a rapturous applause and widespread celebrations. A major coup for the plucky underdogs of Glasgow.

Great game :):) (although I would say that, wouldn't I?! :pac:)

    Athletic Bilbao 6-1 Marseille

The Frenchmen were up against it from the off in this one as a poorly struck Benat free kick hit the wall but bounced back ridiculously kindly for the playmaker to turn goalscorer with a lovley volley into the top right corner. Throw in a tap in for Dr Marcos shortly after the Marseille fans started fearing the worst.
But they were given an injection of hope after "Yourman" tidily slotted away to make it 2-1 after 30 mins. Inaki Williams however did what he does and made it 3-1 and was involved in setting up Dr Marcos for a nice finish to a lovley team goal for 4-1 at half time. Inaki and benat each got another goal for 6-1 in the end. Great game pal.

    (Kingosh_) Milan 2-0 Southampton (bijilf)

Got a much needed win here, largely down to some poor finishing from Southampton. I took the lead in the first half with a deflected goal, though I was in a pretty good spot so think I probably would have scored anyway. Defence was cut open a few times by bijilf but he couldn’t put them away.

Second half he was pressing for the equaliser and had some good chances again. Higuain hit the post too. Got the 2nd goal near the end to make it safe. Good game.

    Rangers 0 - 2 Spurs

In a game dubbed El Manual Passico, it was Spurs who edged out their hosts courtesy of a wonderstrike by Harry Winks, and a more than fortuitous long range effort by Mousa Dembele which was deflected past Alan McGregor by Connor Goldson. It was a quite evenly matched encounter, but the lack of pace from the hosts, coupled with the visitors superior physicality meant that any Rangers attacks or counter attacks were snuffed out pretty comfortably by the Spurs defence and, as such, struggled to create many clear cut opportunities.

Well played though. Good game. Stick with the manual passing and shooting, it's great fun!! :pac: :pac: :):)

Only a short report this time. I really can't think of anything else to say. :( :pac:

Liverpool (Colemaniser) 6-1 (thedunne) Inter Milan

Liverpool on the attack from the start in this one with Salah opening the scoring with 90 seconds gone with an overhead kick from 2 yards. Salah would then double his tally before Inter pulled a goal back to make it 2-1.
Salah then completed his hattrick with Firmino adding 2 more along with 1 from Mane.

    Good game

    Athletic Bilbao 4-2 Man City

Bilbao went into a quick 2-0 lead in the first half wih two tap ins from Inigo Cordoba, but were caught just before half time by the pace of Sterling and the half ended 2-1. Good play down the right for city saw the ball end up with De Bruyne smashing in from just inside the box for 2-2 just after half time.

After a through ball was played to Williams, David Silva missed an easy interception and paid the price as Williams finished. He then set up Susaeta for the fourth goal from another breakaway as City pushed on for the equaliser.
    Cracking game!

    Marseille 1 - 6 Bilbao

Bilbao dominated from the start, Inaki Williams looking particularly impressive throughout

    Marseille 4 - 3 Rangers

A a right battle, Marseille kept pulling ahead only for Dorrans trademark free kicks to keep pulling Rangers level. Defending was not the highlight here but a very enjoyable game!

    Kenneth192 Chelsea 2-1 Celtic DavidJKennedy
Celtic started the brighter of the two teams but it would be Chelsea who took the lead through a rocket of a shot from Kante
With Celtic pushing forward for the equaliser hazard would slip into space behind and make it 2 nil before the break
Chelsea couldn't find that third goal and Celtic through Griffiths would pull one back just after the hour mark , late late pressure from Celtic but Chelsea would hang on and take all 3 points
    Good game DavidJKennedy

    (Deaduis_maximus) Man City 1-1 Celtic (callaway92)

The 1st half was forgetable, nothing much given. Still tinkering with the formation city sprung to life in the 2nd, Celtic played some nice football passing and worming into dangerous positions. Deadlock broken in the 66th minute, through ball to Jesus, Celtic made a last ditch slide to take him out but the tackle was skipped over for Jesus to bury it in the top right. From the off Celtic played some lovely football for a driven cross to be met by a point blank header in the 68th. Good game man

    Man city 0-0 Ath Madrid

Solid performance from Madrid back line and did well to keep City out, Costa a threat with great hold up play, bullying City's CBs. Half chances for both deserved even points

    Man City 1-2 Arsenal

This game went in a flash Arsenal took the lead and City took their time in in their equaliser, abit of ping pong in the Arsenal defence but eventually Arsenal put together a well crafted goal in the 89th to take the 3 points. Good game

    West Ham 1 - 4 Napoli

West Ham took the lead with their first attack. Thats about as good as it got. Napoli pulled up there socks and got into it fairly quickly to make it 1-1.
Napoli pulled the 2nd from a well taken corner, the static west ham players were busy watching a bubbles in the sky onstead of marking their man.
The 3rd was a beauty, another dangerous ball into the box and instead of diop clearing the ball, a bubble landed in his eye and couldnt see, so he hoofed it into his net.
The 4th was just typical napoli, nice build up play to a equally nice finish

The West Ham fans were not blowing their bubbles at the game and could be heard chanting 'bring back sam!!'

Napoli fans joined in with a 'your getting sacked in the morning!!'

In the press interview after, Aido-Eire said "after two seasons, this club can suck my balls" and continued to give the middle finger as he exited stage left.

    GG pal, well played!

    Liverpool (Colemaniser) 2-0 Napoli (Planetpotter)

Tough game this. Liverpool took the lead through a scrappy finish from firmino. Liverpool had a few more chances in the first half to add to the lead but squandered their chances.

Matip extended Liverpools lead from a corner in the second half and a resilient Liverpool defence held on for a rare clean sheet.

    Good game
