Unfortunately, I may have been off with that estimate. Be interesting to see how she finishes now though. Historically a strong finisher but a Boston first timer......
Passed Sara Hall, catching on Lindsay Flanagan. Would put her into 11th. 10th is a minute ahead though, will be tough

Fionnuala finished 11th in 2:30:38. Just 6 seconds off tenth. Had the gap to Flanagan down to 10 seconds, but she recovered and pulled away. One of the Kenyans came back to her though. Beaten by three US and seven East Africans, pretty decent performance

Some finish.....thought Desisa had it at least twice!

Great run from Fionnuala but she'll probably woe those 6 seconds to Saina with the new Q system. A top-10 today would've absolutely guaranteed her a place in Tokyo under the auto-qualifying special circumstances system.

Lovely time from Thomas A. 2.53 for a first time Boston lad and only 4th or 5th marathon I believe. Super running.

What a pig of a run. Absolutely delighted though.

Yep weather was brutal on me too, I just cant do heat. Only for grabbing an actual water bottle off a spectator and throwing some zeros in I would have been in big trouble
