    Terrible decision.

    I can't believe it's not Butler
Butler not happy with that but they’ve no one to blame but themselves.

    Pathetic from start to finish

Not at all. Knocked out by Connacht, no issue with ospreys at all.

    Mul, it's over
Why did Carty not have a go at the penalty 4 min from end?

Not really. Replay was pretty conclusive.

Never saw a team shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly all game long. Every Ospreys try came from a terrible Connacht mistake.

Its not. Ref and TMO explained it well and connacht cant have any complaints over that decision

Why did he kick it away into touch on the full with just over a minute left. As low as it gets tbh.

That was a game Connacht should have won fairly handy.

But a long list of mistakes and errors, and failure to capitalise on the few chances that were created.

Really disappointed in Carty's performance, very poor kicking from hand and his decision making was of the same suit.

They get the bonus point and all. Deserved loss really after the ****e in the first 60 minutes.

This should have been a comfortable victory against a near second team but there was so many basic errors and never took there chances when they were battering the line.

Took that drop goal too early and what an awful mistake to hit out on the full and then the defense after.

3 unbelievably bad errors from TOH, Kelleher and Carty all led to Ospreys tries. Bundee didn't cover himself in glory for the last one either. Amateur hour stuff really.

    Good idea bad execution.

The kick he turned down on 76 or so minutes are the sort of kicks that he needs to step up to. Worse case is a 22 drop out or get possession back from clearance kick.

Jack went from hero to villain from the last conversion to the end but in fairness there was a pretty long list of poor performances and terrible mistakes all game long.
Would have been robbery if we won but to come back and finally show a bit of cohesion only for the defence to go awol at the end makes it even more sickening. I had almost come to terms with it at 17-3 behind.
Considering the teams that were named that's a terrible result and for them to get the tbp aswell sums it up.

If you are going for the win, it's not the decision to make at that point in my opinion. Put it up the jumper and rubble along till 80 mins see where you are then.

That's why a middling team can't carry Carty, any decent place kicker was taking the shot on near the end but he hasn't the distance and he makes at least one bad error a game(not counting the drop goal but the two kicks to touch)

We carried him when we won it as we were scoring tries for fun but in those tight games where every score is vital he's not starting quality....a good back up 10 at best.

These games are just getting annoying to watch now.

Who was calling for Carty over Byrne for the AIs.

    Name and shame please.
I will. He's been excellent prior to tonight which is an indefensible performance with some glimpses of what he's been playing this year. He's also been playing at a high standard with a much weaker panel than Ross Byrne who has had it piss easy so far. But look a ****er is a ****er and he had a nightmare showing by his high 2018 standards.

    Jesus.

    That's on Jack Carty.
    And here comes himself obviously.

Carty isn't to blame for tonight. If one was to single out a player in any defeat, which is not how sport works, to the very, very, very lazy eye Carty costs us. But the team as a while let us down in that first half.

He reminds me a lot of Ian Keatley over the last couple of years. With a strong pack going forward he can play well, but other times he just has absolute shockers of games.

Missed the first half but f***k me that second half was frustrating. Rushed the drop goal should have played a few more phases. Two points all wouldn’t have been bad given being 17-3 down. 4-1 is a killer.

Absolutely pathetic. Horrible errors all over the park against a second string team. gifted them try after try. Looked over confident as if we just had to turn up and waltz over their reserves, played with a bit of purpose and patience for 5 minutes and got back level

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Two huge infringements on the scrumhalf, towards the end, he came out of one ruck without a jersey and then had a "pretend" fall on top of him too.

Not sure why Carty even attempted the DG but that kick on the full was basic stuff.
