    Yes.

I never knew it was free post, lol. I've been putting stamps on all mine, my own fault for not reading the whole new form

It doesn't say freepost on the form, but they arrive. At your own risk, though.

    Yes.

    What?!?

Got paid but the bank took 175 again despite them saying they wouldn't. Another nightmare again.

Another question, can you apply for disability allowance whilst on illness before it runs out?

Yes you can. I’ve just sent off an application for invalidity. It’s probably the best option as it takes ages to get the applications processed.

Yes of course but if your on Illness Benefit then you should apply for both invalidity pension and da and see what happens. The invalidity pension is much better then DA

I can’t as invalidity requires I have the necessary credits. Mine are due to run out & the doctor has deemed me unfit to go back to work so I can’t work the 13 weeks before reapplying.

I don’t think you are understanding the PRSI requirements.
What were you doing in 2016? Were you working? Were you on Illness Benefit ?were you working for some of the year and on IB for the rest? Just 2016 now or 2015. I’ll tell you if you have the PRSI or not.

I was working from September time. I only went on illness in 2017 at sometime due to hypermensis, from there to maternity & back to illness with Graves’ disease. They’ve told me they’re due to run out in January because I applied in January 2018.

If you were working in 2017 then on Illness then on maternity and then on Illness again then to me you were firstly paying a contribution and then you were getting credits for the rest of the year so it’s entirely possible that you have enough for invalidity pension.
It’s also possible that you have enough from 2016 either. Please apply for the invalidity too. I think I said 16 and 15 in a previous post that was a mistake please forgive me.

I’ll private mail you later. I received a letter at my request to see exactly ho many credits I have.

I haven't received any payments this week

Surely it is still not fixed 100%.

Maybe tomorrow, but my payment days are all over the place now.

I'm the same. Last week it was Sat so hoping it turns up tomorrow.

Does anyone know what happens around Xmas/New Year. Just found out today my surgery won't be for at least 4 months so wondering what happens over the holidays

    Just received it now.

Sure they can pay whenever they feel like. What a joke.

    Glad I got it, though.

If you receive a rate of €155.10 per week , what rate should child dependants be paid . Eventually after applying on 17th October , I got paid €155.10 on Friday but nothing for my 3 children . I phoned up to discover the children hadn't been added on to the claim , the lady I spoke to was really unhelpful , she said she'd pass it on but couldn't tell me what rate the children would get .I was told to phone back Tuesday . Really need to budget going forward , any help would be appreciated , thanks

If the gross income of your partner is between €310 and €400 per week you will get €15.90 per week per child
If his/her gross income is more than €400 you won’t get any
If any of those kids are between 18 and 22 you won’t get anything anyway until you’ve been on IB for 156 days
    The full rate is €31.80
If you’re on your own you can go to the CWO to get your rate of payment made up to the SWA rate which is €196 + €31.80 for each dependent child

You won't get the extra for each dependent child if you are in receipt of any payment from welfare either.

And i still haven't received the other half of my payments... and i have returned to work because i needed money even though i'm still in pain.

I was receiving illness benefit from may, returned to work in sept not long aftrr the new forms were introduced. Left in my final cert in sept & payments stopped 1 week later. All good until last thursday i received 1287€ into my bank. I have been heavily taxed since i went back to work (repaying maternity & illness benefit tax), so thought maybe it was a refund, paid a load of bills, then 2 days later got another €198. Realised it is more than likely illness benefit, so tried phoning, no answer, sent an email, got an email back last monday saying they have no record of my final cert, let them know when i returned to work & they would sign me off, i gave them this info & this morning another €198 into my bank!! Bear in mind i havent sent a cert in since i signed off back in September, it seems they are not paying some people who actually are suppsoed to be paid & paying people who are not even off sick! I am worried now about them looking for the money back, i have kept both €198s i received but that first lump is long gone!! I sent another email today so we will see how that goes!

I didn't get payment for my dependents, just for myself but I should have been able to claim.
I rang them during the week and spoke to someone who also said she couldn't see why I hadn't been paid for dependents but fixed it and said I should get the arrears next week for them.

Illness benefit is a joke. I was out sick from work at the start of September for about 2 and half weeks. I filled out all my certs on time posted them off and two weeks after going back to work I got a letter about my claim. No Payment to date. I'm only owed a small amount but to me it's a lot and well needed. I rang one week 10 times over the course of a week to no one answering the phone on hold for over 30 mins. Eventually I rang on the minute the call centre was open to be told the case was never opened and I should receive payment on the next 3/4 days ... grand I thought... nothing! I rang again and was told to ring my bank. They had no payment from illness benefit at all

I rang today to call out my iban number to be told it didn't match up with what I had wrote on the form??? So hense why no payment. I now have to wait for a call back which i was advised could take a week or longer.

I just don't get this whole system at all? It's so stressful. Any one the same about the Iban being wrong?

No payment for me for last week

Been trying to get through on phone but same old same old there. Fired off an email too.

My GP has moved to the new forms as of this week and that cert posted today. Lets see if I get my payment this week.

Still waiting on Final Cert payment which I submitted late September.

I'm still struggling to believe that this could be happening in Ireland in 2018.

I’ve to do a medical review surprise surprise because I submitted an official complaint, which a reply is due on today. What a coincidence.

I have every intention of doing so. Scare tactics don’t work with me after what they put me through.

I've had 3 medical review letters issue over the past 2 months.
The 1st one was returned via post with an emailed copy sent in just to have a more definite record.
The subsequent 2, I just printed and sent a copy of the original and have heard nothing back since.

I did receive a letter from the Dept, at the direction of the Minister this morning apologising for the issue and rehashing her answers to the Oireacthas of the 15/11.
