Same offer in Dealz Portlaoise, so it's probably nationwide. Good spot OP

In both stores in Galway too, has been on for a while now.

Limited stock flavour wise between both stores.

Lemon & Strawberries & Creamleft in the bigger store, Lemon, Strawberries & Cream & Cookies & Cream in the smaller one, last I checked on Saturday.

Are these nice to just eat as a snack or are they more to be used in conjunction with some mad lad training regime? Asking for a friend, lol.

Good deal so as Dunne's are doing 12x 45g for €15

Thanks OP, been availing of offers for them in Holland and Barrett, like buy one get one half price, but this blew that out of the water. I got 3 boxes.

Cheers me up a little after not pulling the trigger early enough on the Lavazza Coffee Machine deal last week.

Are you sure they are 45g bars? I have never seen smaller Fulfil bars, just the standard 55g ones. A smaller size would also have less than 20g of protein which is one of their big marketing points.

Fulfil bars taste ok generally (the hazelnut whip is excellent though) but just to be aware the quality of the protein source is very mixed - a significant % of it is from gelatine rather than whey

    Can you access that link?

    Says 45g bar

Wow - have never seen that, you are absolutely right, well spotted!

I would not have noticed and just assumed they were "normal size". Very misleading to have them in the dumpbin with 20g of protein written on it (I notice it's not on the packaging) when there can only be about 16-17g.

That is 12 bars not 15 bars. Is Dealz 15 or 12 bars. Going to stock up, we go through them like there is no tomorrow.

Just be aware of the relatively short date on them.

I bought a box of White Choc Cookie Dough today in Dealz on Thomas Street in Dublin. Use by date was January 2019

I assume you're in cork, but i saw triple chocolate in Monaghan when i was in. No whipped hazelnut or my favourite.. peanut and caramel.

    Think i saw all these:

    cookies and cream
    strawberry
    lemon zinger
    chocolate caramel & cookie dough
    dark chocolate and mint
    milk chocolate and...
    chocolate & coconut
    triple chocolate.

They were stacked high. Varying dates, even within the same flavours. between october 2018 and early next year

oh yeah and for those wondering about weights the ones i got were :

    dark chocolate and mint 55g
chocolate caramel & cookie dough 55g
    chocolate & coconut 60g

What’s the difference in g? More protein? People are saying some bars have 45g, 50g, 60g

roughly 2g extra fat, 1.5g extra carbs and 1g extra fibre 0.5g extra protein in the coconut (20.5g vs 20g for the others)

some bars are potentially 45g or 50g, i'd assume if there are lighter ones then they're the strawberry and vanilla and the lemon zinger due to having a different makeup than most of the rest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 355 ✭✭BadBannana

Is there flavour that's actually nice? I've had the cookies and cream and some kind of peanut one and they weren't nice at all. Very strong soy flavour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,089 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

Are they all effective at filling you up or the 60g ones slightly better?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 896 ✭✭✭septictank

Sorry guys, never seen these before, so they are trying to get rid of box's of health bars at €15 a pop, not a chance.

Sort of thing JC's in Swords would sell, 15 box's for €15.

Nope, not fulfill bars. Normally about €2.30 in Tesco and dunnes.
Also, if you’ve never seen them before you are obviously not up to date with them so why have an opinion?

On another note, the Irish guy that founded these has just sold the company for €8m!

I've seen them 20 for 20 in JCs.

You must be going around with your eyes closed so.
They must be the most available bar in the country ever.
From supermarkets to boots to Penney's to every spar, centra and independent retail shop in the country.

In Dealz €1.50 each? what flavours?

I've not seen the hazelnut whip in Dealz ever. Have seen the others, but have not seen a 15 box of the triple chocolate. Normally lemon, strawberry&vanilla.

New flavour on the way too - chocolate salted caramel.

Found "barebells" in the health store on offer too, they are v good. (Swedish made I think)

Grenade bars are half price in super value at €1.25 per bar

Stand corrected, Like I said, never heard of them before, I live in a cave.

Still a hard sell to get someone to spend €15 on bars in a single purchase.

Imho €15 for 15 of these, esp if the flavour is triple choc or God forbid hazelnut whip = a steal.

Not really as demonstrated by the interest on here and the stock levels that Dealz have of these.

The bar is targeted at no one in particular, therefore it appeals to every one.

If its a low sugar snack you want, or high protein bar, or vitamin enhanced bar or a tasty bar, or your short on money and just want a bar that works out at €1, this offer ticks all the above requirements.

I fully expect a box would be consumed not just by one person but by a family, equally you'll have friends/family buying a different flavour each and swapping.

Just got a box. Sophies choice between strawberry + Vanilla, mint choc and lemon zinger. All manky. Opted for mint choc. Dealz in Fonthill in Dublin

The chocolate caramel and cookie tastes delicious, although I'd suggest stocking up on the bog roll too.

Tonnes in Dealz Henry St ... Lemon Zinger, Choc + Mint, Stawberry + Vanilla

I love the Strawberry + Vanilla so grabbed a box of that (love the protein shake flavour.. weird), though I imagine most will go for the Choc/Mint

    Expiry is 13 Jan 2019

    Thanks OP

Hazelnut whip are nice as bars in their own right.

The rest of them are meh and the 20g of protein will never make enough of a difference to warrant buying them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,540 ✭✭✭✭2smiggy

i find the grenade carb killa bars to be much tastier, and more of a pleasure to eat. but that's just my own opinion !!

The packs of sliced turkey in Aldi/Lidl are much better value if health is at the forefront of your mind. Less Salt, zero Sugar, half the calories, half the price and twice the protein as a fulfill bar.

Not really comparable in fairness. A pack of €1 turkey is a) hardly that practical to eat on the go b) not as filling either as it's purely protein.

The protein content would actually be the same (assuming a similarly priced pack of €1-1.19 slices).

The Fulfill bars are more comparable to a plain chicken/turkey sandwich replacement, not just a pack of slices, and would have less calories than same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,089 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

You need a fridge for turkey, plus it expires quickly. These bars sit under my desk in work and get rid of any afternoon cravings.

    I had one around 2pm.

    I'm still full and it's 7:50 pm.

    I've just cycled 10km too.
