Been awhile since i logged into OCUK,last purchase was a Sapphire 7950 Vapor X for £205 in 2013,the top end has definitely got way more expensive:pac:

Not really, dual gpus were the top cards back in the day with similar prices to modern high end.

The 3080 die size is nearly double that of the 7970 which launched around €550.

You got that 7950 cheap because it was 2 years after it's launch.

The Zotac card I was looking at on Overclockers has gone up £40 this morning. Won't be going with that as a failsafe to missing out on a FE now.

Still torn on whether to go for an FE or not

    Why would you not?
Its the only one with thermal and noise results on launch day...

In fairness the FE cooler looks better than 90% of other coolers out there.

You will be hard pressed to get better from AIB's and if you do they will probably cost at least 100 more than founders.

Wouldn't be surprised to see another bump up right before the launch either with OC.

I'm in the FE or wait and see side. If I get an FE today grand if not I'll wait and see how the 3070 ends up performing it's an massive upgrade for me regardless so I won't miss out really. Then when the 3070 comes out if there is no sign of the FE 3080 coming back I'll try for that provided its good.

I assume once you have one in your basket your good or is it a case of getting through the checkout asap more so

Do you have a gofundme setup ?

The the original never performed very well either. So it's a choice between playing a low-performant FPS that has a minimum requirement of 512MB of RAM or a low-performant slightly different looking version of the same FPS that probably requires 1500% more hardware resources... and you have to buy it again :pac:

Original is pretty ****ed up in that they were trying to make a game for the future but imagined it would be running on dual cores.

New Crysis is 8K apparently. Leaning into the meme I guess

Well I'm down to either an FE or the msi gaming x trio

When it goes off notify me, it will turn into a spinner probably, and never work. The backend service is returning 500's

I'd imagine they'll send those notify me e-mails in a timely manner ....

    Overclockers partially loading at times.

All cards marked as pre-order, some with ETAs in October.

I can't get anything added to my basket.
