No replay of what happened before this scrum?

    I don't understand that.

What was the penalty for there, seemed like he wasn't happy with SA getting possession.

Unplayable apparently. Sorry read it wrong.

    What an incredible finish.

    Delighted for SA.

Well done SA. No sport gets the blood pumping like a good game of rugby.

    What a finish!!

    Well that was good. :D

Boks defence was very good. Linespeed was excellent at times in defence. Just need to cut out the silly penalties and they could be very good. Well done Rassie.

Oh my god. What a game.

I thought a NZ try was inevitable; amazed that SA held on!

Well that starts the day well.
    Wonderful stuff.

Somewhat happy about that, strangely. SA defended well, and it would have been a crime to lose. BB's goalkicking is just abysmal.

So...which team would you rather face in 15 months lads? Barring a pool disaster it's NZ or SA not that far away...

Well done SA, keeps the RC interesting and NZ honest.

That was a gripping game, crowd got in behind NZ, and SA scored some nice tries.

Love the game of rugby, our great sport.

Nz should have gone for the dropgoal off that scrum, but they never seemed to consider it.

Me oh my I did enjoy that

SH rugby was crying out for a result like that.

    Actually maybe world rugby was!

Well that’s a terrific start to a Saturday! Baffling that NZ didn’t attempt the drop goal though.

NZ have been getting away with Barrett taking the kicks so poorly, would you want him going for a drop goal in the last minute of a world cup final?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Was it arrogance, stupidity or confidence that NZ didn't go for the drop goal when they were straight in front of the posts when essentially in the red? It seemed a slight no brainer.

Irrespective o Barretts hit and miss kicking, surely they'd trust him or McKenzie to nail such an easy shot.

I guess I won't be posting the highlights this weekend. BB's poor kicking cost the AB's the game. :(

If BB is still on kicking duty then I'll choose your lot please!

Edit... And it's actually only 13 months away!

What were NZ doing on the goal line? An ineptitude you would never expect to see.

Commentators were implying that McKenzie would be the man.

If it doesn't come off though, it's game over. You have to back yourselves to score when you're the ABs and in the 22.

NZ were gaining metres in every phase and ended up right on the tryl line.

Then they went wide, and only for McKenzie dropping the ball they’d have been certain to score.

Not going for the drop was the right thing to do.
