    Happily,the Indo focuses on the Gardai's role of being less of a Police Force,but more of a concerned chaperone type of agency,which will probably be welcome news to fellows used to the more gallic approach of the French Police forces....
    The investigation into the matter is ongoing. Gardaí stressed that they were interested in the welfare of the men who appeared to have travelled such a long distance in the back of a truck.

    However,jst to balance it a wee bit,the reporter did at least point in the direction of the huge Wolly Mammoth sitting outside Charlie Flanagans office....
    This week a report, prepared for Minister Charlie Flanagan, warned that Brexit could have an enormous impact here as any perceived tightening of UK immigration controls could see “illegals” increasingly look across the Irish Sea instead.

    Percieved tightening.....?

    Charlie is probably well aware of perception sure enough ?

    True. There's room for more than five in a truck - what happened to the rest? Lunch for the bigger ones, thats what they ended up as.

    Some people seriously need to open a couple of history books. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being anti immigration, and there's also nothing wrong with complaining that the existing laws on immigration aren't being enforced, with no public policy debate on the issue.

    Nobody is forcing anyone to participate in these threads. Nor, once again, are nativists Nazis. There's a difference between desiring the death of people because of their race, and opposing immigration for economic, cultural, or population growth reasons. Most people who are anti immigration oppose it for one of the latter three reasons.

    On cultural immigration, I think you'll find that most of the far right who talk about it aren't as interested in the colour of someone's skin as the culture they come from and how it might clash with our own.

    It's curious that posters like yourself add these types of sexual connotations in discussions with posters who do not agree with your point of view. Maybe some inward thinking might shine a light on why you need to do this. And from your good self on this topic, you have resorted to the usual nazi and right-wing name calling.
    It's a lovely evening, take a break and go out for a walk.

    In the meantime, I certainly hope that the authorities investigate the ease on how these economic migrants got into the country. There should be substantial fines imposed on the haulage company involved, and questions should be asked on why our border controls at Rosslare port did not work. Resources should be added now to the country's entry points and the government should not wait for the post-Brexit migrant influx anticipated by reports prepared for the Justice Department.
