I was trying to sell my special FF edition console for a year straight and no bites or silly offers, ended up just chucking it and now someone wants one... typical.

chucking it? Like throwing in bin?! Would you not just stick it under the bed or something until it eventully sold or even for posterity? I've got systems from the 80s now worth a bit but they're filed away in a cupboard out of the way.

That's how life works. With the prices going up and up, I think about going for a new one anyway. Only a couple of euro difference. Just finding one in stock gonna be tough.
    Edit:
Should get an oscar for stupidity and laziness :D When roaming around Ebay/Amazon I was sure that Ps Vr was bundled with PS4, almost picked one up. Buying half asleep isn't the smartest thing.

That almost happened me too :(

Yes to charity, clearing space. I had offers of less than half it's value considering it was brand new with a sealed copy with special artwork of FF15 I was like no f that. I wouldn't give them the pleasure of scalping it.

Not worried about hoarding to make a few quid, sure could all be dead in a year.

Any recommendations for a cheaper alternative than the official dual shock controller? Wireless/Bluetooth not really important, just something that feels solid and not wildly different aesthetically.

Not really. Unlike with the PS3 Sony put a lock out chip on the PS4 so there aren't a lot of options other than the DS4. There is a good Hori pad, but can't turn on the console and I think needs a DS4 to even sync with the console.

Anyone know if the campaign on this is any good? I’m not really one for multiplayer. Heard it’s very good on the new COD but haven’t heard much about this.

The Uncharted bundle is free. Couple of great games there, especially the 2nd one.

Only played the first 3 recently too. No 2 is big jump forward from 1 I thought. Enjoy

Where is the best place to pick up a PS4 now ?Im guessing it would be delivery only or any shops that are open be selling them ?

It doesnt really matter what comes with it ie. if no games as I will buy them from the store.

Anywhere in particular have good prices and quick delivery ?

Littlewoods have 1tb slims with Fifa 20 or Death Stranding for €344 plus delivery atm or the Pro with Fifa 20 for €400. Most places are sold out due to high demand and reduced supply due to the lockdown so grab what you can.

Really cheap from cdkeys for a US PSN code so you’ll need to set up a US account if you don’t have one. It will play fine on your Irish account then.

25% off PS now for new subscribers, €45 for the year. Just when I was starting to make inroads through my backlog...

All the reliable discount places are sold out atm, you'll need to stump up the full €60. Not sure when they'll get stock of keys back with the current global conditions.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is currently free on PSN.

    No longer free! Free again!

Probably a good idea to hold off on buying anything remotely a couple of years old for now, just in case they make it free!

I was already stung by the Uncharted freebie having picked it up a few months ago!
