Anybody know why Phantom Doctrine (Cold War XCOM thingy) never appears in these sales? It didn’t do too well at launch but never appears to drop below 40e - I’d bite if it came down to the 20 mark

Reviews for the Switch port are not that good. Even the port was made by a different Dev.
I'd recommend watching a few videos of it and..... not spend money. No matter how much you love Xcom games.

Maybe a silly question, but having played neither, should I get Far Cry 5 or New Dawn? I know ND takes place after FC5, but I also heard that parts of FC5 were a drag, and ND is a much better playing experience.

FC 5 had the much better story but one area did drag alright. Saying that, the other 2 areas (west and north) were excellent.

New Dawn's story is crap but it has a nice base building feature and gameplay is fast and fun but I never actually cleared it. Turns out I was really underlevelled for the last boss and I would have to go grind to get my level up to do any damage to them. Just gave up instead. Going by that, I'd go with FC 5.

Yeah pretty good value but I’ve found them on Curry’s website who deliver, for 299 including COD. I should of bought it the other day but now they’re out of stock again, I’ve signed up to be notified when they’re back.

Probably far better value in the 1TB but this will gather dust once this has all blown over, and I’m being optimistic in saying that i hopefully won’t need it long

Yeah, I figure i'll just sell it on once i'm done with it, and take a €100 loss. Mainly just want it for FF7, Spiderman and The Last of Us 2.

Or i'll just hold off for the PC release of at least FF7 :P

I see witcher 3 GOTY edition is on sale again at €15, absolutely lovin this game but made the stupid mistake of being too cheap when it was on sale last time and only bought the main version which doesnt have all the extras inc the 2 main expansion packs..I dont usually play that sort of game so wasnt sure I'd like it.
Luckily the 2 expansion packs are also on sale, so do I buy the GOTY edition (can you import a save into it rather than having to start again?) or just buy the 2 packs? Am I missing out on much with main game +plus the 2 expansions VS GOTY?

You can't import your save from one to the other, it was the source of a bit of controversy when the GOTY version first released. There's no difference in content between main + expansions vs GOTY edition.

It's just below rrp, but so few come on the market that getting them at anything near that price is good. Last time they were in stock was November.

Haven't played a golf game since tiger woods 2003, but the golf club 2 must be worth €2.99.
Anyone played it? If it's too complex to play I won't bother

The last few PGA Tour games have been great if you see them. The last one is real cheap, I'd get that over TGC.

Wasn’t a big fan of the Rory version, bought TGC 2 a couple of days ago but yet to play. Not a big risk at that price!

I bought The Golf Club 2 meself yesterday. Loved the first one and had been mad to buy one of them again but wasn't paying 40 quid or whatever to get it.

Yeah Rory golf is my go too, the Golf Club feels very mobile ftp with how it works.

Really enjoying The Golf Club 2. Played it for a couple of hours earlier and I can see why people weren't/aren't fond of the putting, it's definitely trickier than I remember from the first game. The short game is definitely more rewarding though. I'll definitely sink plenty of hours into it.

I was trying to sell my special FF edition console for a year straight and no bites or silly offers, ended up just chucking it and now someone wants one... typical.

That's how life works. With the prices going up and up, I think about going for a new one anyway. Only a couple of euro difference. Just finding one in stock gonna be tough.

Should get an oscar for stupidity and laziness When roaming around Ebay/Amazon I was sure that Ps Vr was bundled with PS4, almost picked one up. Buying half asleep isn't the smartest thing.
