Several callers have mentioned that the soilders extra allowance will be taxed at the higher rate.

The current stadard rate cut-off is €43,550 (https://www.revenue.ie/en/personal-tax-credits-reliefs-and-exemptions/tax-relief-charts/index.aspx)

The current avergae salary is €45,611 (https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/this-is-the-average-full-time-wage-in-ireland-795670.html)

Ipso Facto, those wurking the weekend for the pope must be earning close to te average salary. Is this not good enough for some reason?

TWODAY'S De Brand NEW & IMPROVED so to speak 2-18 Joe Duffy Wurkday Calculator and dat:

Wurkdays in 2-18 and dat: 158
    Joe Shows: 123
    No Show Joe Shows: 35
    Breakeens 4 Joe: 35

PBH (de full-time host of de show) Shows: 30
PBH guest appearances and dat: 1
    D'Omen Shows: 4
    AN Udder Shows: 0
Good Fryday No Show by nobody at all at all: 1

    NEW FEATURE SO TO SPEAK:
Fateen's Estimated Fees (De FEF Matrix so to speak) to date dis year:
    AT LEAST €307,500*

(not including de EXTRA FEES for 3 days of De Beast From De East TV + Radio Simulcast Xtravaganza + likely "Danger Money" for travelling to and from wurk in de snow and dat).
    King-World-News-WTF-Is-Going-On-Here-864x400_c.jpg
*de fees are calculated at €2,500 per show x days dat Fateen is in so to speak. Dose fees are likely conservative and outdated as day are 2 years old so to speak.
I'm including Good Fryday as a Wurkday as it is not an official Bank Holiday/Holiday Day. Even Pat Kenny is in Newstalk FFS, but no-one in RTE of course of course.

    DON'T FORGET -
"We're here all summer" sez he
    .

Headline for the Irish Mirror ....
MAN EATING FOXES TERRORISE POSH OWL BINT IN FOXROCK

If I saw a man eating a fox I'd be pretty upset in fairness. The importance of a correctly placed "-"..........

One could argue that the show has 2 sponsors; the TV Licence Payers and Hidden Hearing.

I saw dat yesterday - is it a play on "gombeen"?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

What was that sh1te out of him today ? A young ears warning before recommendations for getting rid f foxes. Dog poo and mens urine were mentioned. That was it.

As usual, he wasn't listening to the woman when she told him he pi$$es into a container and pours it out.

Then he asks her something like, "can he do it without the neighbours seeing him?".

I'd love to have rang in and suggested blasting the foxes with pi$$

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,050 ✭✭✭✭Beechwoodspark

In fairness the man who is putting up bunting for the pope used it first but joe seized on it and used it repeatedly.

It seems to be a tame version of gombeen
