All of the university-owned student accommodation rent is paid upfront, either for one term or the whole academic year.

Does Joe have some sort of particular problem with these new student accommodation complexes? Is he afraid that it's hurting his old friends, the slum landlords, in the pocket?

    Bank of Mum and Dad.

They want paid up front because they know damned well there would be an inevitable percentage of bad payers.

Ah Joe give it a rest. Most kids will be coming to Buckley Hall from the countryside or abroad, and wouldn't know or care the first thing about Buckingham street

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,023 ✭✭✭manodepeeple

So he's latching on to the fact that Buckley Hall don't say clearly enough for him where they are INSTEAD of why these eejits actually rang in.

    Plus ca change...
