Eli has no business in the HoF. It makes a joke of the whole thing

No, you're right. He should have to buy a ticket every time he goes there.

Manning's 57,023 passing yards and 366 passing touchdowns remain in the top-10 all-time. His consecutive game streak of 210 is tied for 10th longest. Only 13 other QBs in history have won multiple Superbowls. He was MVP in both of his Superbowl wins.

But as you say, he shouldn't even be allowed into the state of Ohio let alone Canton.

    🙄

Volume stats that will mean less and less as the years go by. His stats are awful, his record as a player is terrible. The argument for him is based on 2 playoff runs, the winning of which is largely on his defense.

I see myles Garrett has publicly requested a trade from that landfill organisation that is the browns. He’d be a great addition for any team in the NFL, bar the other AFC north.

La rams are moving on from Copper Kupp aswell. Great receiver, would love him at green bay. Garrett will go 2 first and player i say.

I'd take him and Carter to build a defense around for the pats please

If you got both of them the defense is built, you don't need anything else😁

The NFL are going to muse a virtual measuring system for yardage gain measurements this year.

    I like it.

The only thing worse than the current system is Gene Steratore's index card method!

Deebo to the Commanders for a 5th rounder.

    That's a bargain imo.

Joe Thuney to the Bears. It makes sense from a cap perspective but what a massive hole to fill.

Bears traded for Jonah Jackson yesterday. Caleb Williams will be smiling

If the Bears fully fix that line watch out.

Running back will be the only question mark on offense then. Swift only managed 3.8 ypc last season.

Maxx Crosby is now the highest paid non-QB extended with the Raiders 3 year contract 106.5 million/91.5 million guaranteed

Wow defensive ends coining 35+ million! 20 million was crazy just a few years back

It's an absolutely insane contract to give a lad who only played 12 games last year.

The long-term Sky Sports and NFL contract ends on Friday. And as we saw with 'missing games' near the end of the season, there seems to be some background acrimony.

A short-term extension has been agreed to allow PFT and GMF to continue into April.

Hell of a day with Joey Bosa released as well and, to a lesser extent, Tyler Lockett. DK Metcalf wants a trade so I wonder where that takes him.

I'd love to see Joey in New England.

Reason Joey Bosa was cut, couldn't stay healthy. played just over half the games, 28/51 games from 2022 onwards and plus Chargers are saving over 25 million by cutting him. Still only 29 but can only see him being a rotational piece from now on, body too broke up it seems to last a full slate of regular season games.

Crosby 27 so is in his prime but is a massive contract for a team that has no QB. Maybe with cap going up this year and they might do some cap magic with void years etc that the Eagles are at they see it as a good time to lock him down long term. Still the same as the Browns, having Garret and Crossby great for your defence but wont make a difference if you have no quarterback.

I also see Metcalf has requested a trade, they saying alot of teams interested but id imagine Seahawks gonna be pushing to get a Rd1 pick for him which I cant see happening.

I'd imagine the best the Seahawks would get is a round 3 pick.

Sometimes a new team makes a huge difference to a player. There's been many over the years who missed very little time with injury after a move.

You'd have to think the Raiders are going after a rookie QB now.

Joey played 28 games and I'd hazard a guess that only half of them games he was healthy.

Be interesting what the chargers do for a pass rush and at receiver.

    Crosby a crazy contract.

I agree but there is also the issue that a running back is only as good as his OLine - if the OLine isn't punching holes then a running back is not making yards. For Example Saquon Barkley is class but I don't think he runs for 2000+ yards if he wasn't behind the eagles OLine. Actually this year he averaged 5.8ypc - last year with the terrible Giants OLine he averaged 3.9ypc.

Swift's best year was with the Eagles in '23. He just beat 1000 yards.

He's never been great and he has been injury prone. He's not a true lead back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,214 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Ridiculous thing is we had a lead back, Montgomery, who wanted to stay in Chicago, and let him go in order to get Swift, now Montgomery is tearing it up in Detroit, while Swift just hasn't been that good. But I'm sure a move will be made.

There's decent depth in the draft at the position. Najee Harris and Dobbins are two good ones in FA.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 272 ✭✭ipitydafool

Yeah definitely new surroundings can help but Bosa's injury last year seemed a more long term issue, getting sciatic pain etc. He may go to San Fran to play with his brother on a team friendly deal for a season but he has made 142 million in career earnings so doesn't need money either.

Raiders probably a bit snookered if they go rookie QB though, Cam Ward likely goes in first 3 picks so gonna be left with Deion Sanders son as next best option and many don't have a first round consensus on him, he seems to have rubbed coaches up the wrong way at the Combine and will be a circus given who his father is, certainly was the case in college.

Not a bears fan but definitely one of the team I am most interested in seeing next year. Ben Johnson obviously one of the top HC hires, him getting Dennis Allen in as an experienced DC was very smart. The new OC is only 28 but obviously Johnson going to be calling plays. Like eagle eye said, the draft this year at RB seems to be very deep and though not like last year when Saquoan and Derrick Henry hit FA, still got options there too.
