    It not meant as an attack on you or your thread, from what I can see. I think every one here has nothing but your best interests at heart. If you feel the thread is helping you, reconsider closing it. All you have to do is just be a bit more discreet. I understand that it may seem like you're being silenced all over again, but you're not. It's only being said with the intention of protecting whatever future action you might take.

    Also, I thought about posting this yesterday, but I didn't want to cause upset. But I remember looking up information on cases like yours before. The rape crisis centre had a very good write up on what to expect after a complaint is made and why cases aren't put forward by the DPP for trial and indeed why they don't succeed. It is worth a read and if you want it I can go look for it. I always think it's better to manage your expectations of what might happen and reassure yourself that it's no reflection on you or what happened.
