If someone said to you that you can get behind the wheel of a 2018 car with 4 thousand miles , remainder of 5 year warranty and all for 8500 euro? You'd think they were crazy wouldn't you?

But amazingly it's true and with the impending recession you'll see more and more of these on our roads, just get in before BREXIT. 8500 euro includes vrt and travel costs.

I'd prefer to burn the money and buy a 20 year old Corolla or Civic over that soulless pile of dirt..

Two on donedeal at €9500 or less that won't require a few days of your life to collect and a visit to a bodyshop to get the bumpers sprayed before you'd consider driving it without a hat, sunglasses and probably some kind of fake facial hair.

Add in the cost of a stereo, speakers and fascia adapter and you won't be getting any boat.

PS one of them is up for 55 days, room to negotiate methinks.

I actually would like to drive one for a day to see what they are like :)

    Or for an hour maybe.

Some cars need to be seen and driven to be appreciated. Could be one of those ;)

Why don't you buy it yourself since you have recommended in threads here so much?

Garage gave me one for a half day recently. Made me appreciate my own car , that's the only positive I could take from it. Glad I wasn't going far that day.

Looks very well. I wouldnt have it as slammed as it is tho. Nice to see a 328i. Millions of 4 pot beemers and a decent amount of M3s but its very hard to find beemers in the middle in this country (328i / 330i etc).

I'm obviously not its target market though I do appreciate it for what it is, but is €6500 sensible for that? It's a long way from being a classic with a 99 reg.

I was thinking the same, I have a manual 325ci 2 years newer & was planning on selling it.....I hope he's right about prices!

3k 2 years ago was strong, 4k to 5k seems a realistic price for a decent enough example in a 6 pot or is.

Are you sure you're in Ireland? E36 M3 coupes are almost impossible to find. There is plenty of 323s & 328s.

That car has been for sale a while. Looks like a nice car but replica wheels let it down. Probably worth somewhere around the 5k mark.

I never got the e36. It’s the Mk3 Golf of 3 series for me.

Having owned an e46 and an e36 at the same time the e36 is like driving a car from a different century compared to the e46! I absolutely hated driving it. Every now and again I see one and I just think, gorgeous car, I’d never buy another.

I would be fairly confident my 17 year old, 600 euro toyota is a nicer place to be!

Yes that was me and yes I'd have that Rolla but I'd prefer either the older model again or the newer one post 2002..

I'd never buy a Japanese car after what happened to my grandad.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,585 ✭✭✭Mickiemcfist

Was he holidaying in Pearl Harbour?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,371 ✭✭✭Technique

No, he had a Datsun in the 1970s that gave him a lot of trouble.

So you'd never buy a Japanese car due to some issues from 40 years ago relating to a car make which no longer exists?
    Ok then...

In fairness I feel the same way about Ford. Mate's grandfather's father ordered a new Model T in Metallic Blue but was shafted with a plain black one by the dealer.

Ok, when I thought I saw it all:

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/2010-ford-mondeo-hearse/22772192

    ZmVmMmQzOGM0Y2Q0YzIwZmJjOGJmYzE5NDYyNGJlZWX1c63S9LP6VfnYdul2dLWAaHR0cDovL3MzLWV1LXdlc3QtMS5hbWF6b25hd3MuY29tL2RvbmVkZWFsLmllLXBob3Rvcy9waG90b18xMzEwMzc2MzN8fHw2MDB4NjAwfHx8fHx8fHw=.jpeg

I mean...is this a windup or what? Even the vignetting effect on the photos?

    Description:

"2010 For Mondeo Hearse 2.3 petrol Automatic, Excellent condition, very quiet to drive, built by Ferghas Quinn, car is in spotless condition, Taxed and tested.

First to see will buy , Sale due to upgrade."

    That last line...:D

EDIT: there are more hearse on sale on Donedeal. Clearly a market for those in Ireland...

A quick respray and it would be perfect for the ghostbusting start-ups up there in the North West
