Rain and thunderstorms expected today. Might be worth watching first 10 laps

Actual thunderstorms would mean the start won't be worth watching, you'll have to wait til the track is basically completely dry before idiots will go green.

    GP2 is dry :(

Gp2 was a good race today Norris drove well some good over takes in the pack

Eir sport don't have this until 3.05pm. Very late start for a Western European race now.

It was to accommodate the England match apparently.

Sure that's over at half time....

French Grand Prix weather forecast: "60% rain possibility for race, more likely around 5pm (local) and later - 1-2 showers likely with a high chance of thunderstorms. Showers should develop around 2-3pm and reach the vicinity of the circuit around 5.30 pm" (so possibly too late) a

    Could be good

Thunderstorms are bad. They don't make monsoon rain tyres in F1 any more. "Too dangerous", they say.
A few rain showers would however be welcomed. Even Red Bull maestro Christian Horner seems to think this track will be boring without rain (on a Sky Sports interview now).

Yeah, they moved all sessions in European races this summer to fit in between the World Cup matches. Sort of. Which is nice. I hate when the Sunday premier League match always clash with an F1 race. :)

The late start is nice, enjoying the sun

Sure a 15mins rain storm would be marvelous especially in the middle part of pit stop strategies gets teams out of sync.

    :) Renault in 3rd

All we need now is rain in about 15-20 laps

Gasly and Ocon made contact, Vettel and Bottas races ruined. What a start by Sainz, and Charlie in P6 is nice

  • Registered Users Posts: 30,036 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Bottas and Vettel must have clashed?

Might make it an easy race for Hamilton

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,014 ✭✭✭Mike Litoris

The French drivers getting carried away? Looking forward to the replays.

    Don't discount the Red Bulls.

Could be a penalty for Vettel, close one. Should be the handiest win of Hamilton's career coming up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

    Vettel at fault for that

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,884 ✭✭✭Tzardine

Verstappen up behind Hamilton could be interesting when the safety car comes in.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,614 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

How did Kimi manage to lose a place as well?

Last year it was Singapore, this year it could be this race where Vettel started to throw away the championship.
