Face Value is a fine album.

In The Air Tonight is a classic

This one is my 2nd favourite:

    A gorilla playing drums. :)
That moved him a notch above other drummers.

I was very down after my girlfriend left me due to my obsession with Phil Collins but take a look at me now!

Everything will be fine Duffman, you can't hurry love.

I like Phil I have to say, he was my preferred genesis front man and I like some of his solo stuff.

What I particularly like however is his daughter - fúck she's hot.

Is this the "Where are you now?," "What are you eating/drinking?," "What's your mother's maiden name?" stalker-fest :)

I'm in Madigan's on North Earl in Dublin enjoying the first of several pints of Tipperary's finest apples.

Phil's "I Wish It Would Rain Down" has just played on the jukebox.

"You said you didn't need me in your life
Oh, I guess you were right, yeah
Oh, I never meant to cause you no pain
But it looks like I did it again"

If anyone needs me, I'll be in the jacks having a wee cry.

As soon as I saw the thread title I knew the thread would be littered with Patrick Bateman quotes. Thank you for not disappointing me AH.

Never liked him but I might get into him later in life. I actually said this to him and he told me I just have to wait.

Was that supposed to be funny?

    Ah, sorry man.

Try this one. I love Phil Collins.

Phil Collins ticks every self deprecating it's so bad it's good box. Apart from the iconic scene, an entire episode of Miami Vice was centred around him.

Phil on his own is a load of my b**ox imo.

In Genesis however, he's a different animal.

Honestly after finding out the level of love that there is for Fleetwood Mac, nothing would surprise me, even people actually liking Phil Collins.

Personally I think it's shocking muck - music your da' tried to ride your ma' to.

I did not like You can’t hurry love or Buster.

But there are some great songs listed here. I forgot he had so many good songs.

    Easy Lover has fantastic vocals.

In the Air Tonight creates an atmosphere and build up that you can almost picture yourself there in that scene (if that makes sense) it really is special.
Driving to work during the week, I can’t dance came on .....great hook.

He can write a song but his singing and sound don't do anything for me

If he is alright for Victor Vance, he is alright for me...

You need to rewind your video tape

I like some of the Genesis stuff, not just the later period but some of the English Prog stuff when he was the drummer. I liked a lot of stuff on first 3 solo albums, probably as much to do with being a teenager at the time as well.

I think as well, he makes you feel a tiny bit nostalgic for the carefree times when somebody that looked like a dustbin man in an 80s sitcom could be one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

I think that's the "Do you like 'Huey Lewis and the News'" thread

I didn't like Buster but I do really like some of his songs.

I think he's a bit like Rod Stewart. He has a few catchy songs that are really good. Someone's mam is always a big fan :)

I found this a few months ago, i remembered the tune as a kid but had no idea who ever sang it.

Its a fantastic piece of satire that is still relevant 25+ years on

The South Park lads weren't happy about his Tarzan song winning the Oscar over their 'Blame Canada'.
