Yeah sure it’s ideal Bring in all the players with best games for one week AND bench boost

Not if you want to carry them forward for next season though.

Wolves pay 30m to finalise Jiminez deal.

That looks like an absolute bargain!

Until he struggles to score 5 goals next season :)

    God I hate FF
Triple Captain GW31, FH GW32 and I’m -1 versus doing neither

Any views on best week to pay my TC
Gw 35 laca/auba home to palace and trip to wolves

Gw 35 Kane/son/eriksen home to brighton and away to man c

Gw 35 rashford/pogba home to city and away to Everton

Gw 36 any Liverpool forward home to Huddersfield

Gw 35 Jimenez home to Brighton and arsenal

Gw 35 any city forward/midfielder home to spurs and away to utd

How about Kane/Son next week - at home to Huddersfield? It's 12:30 ko though. Id' be tempted to stick it on Kane still...

If not Wildcarding it's a great option

It should be good shooting practice for him.

Anyone doing wildcard not going to press the button in an hour's time for next week :)

Lots of drops tonight so watch your value

I’ll make my transfers then hit wc before the deadline

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,341 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

Yeah I'll pop the wildcard button Wednesday or so.

    Already on a ,-20 lol

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,812 ✭✭✭bantee

So you can't actually hit the WC now to take advantage of rises/drops?

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,341 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

When I hit wildcard on Wednesday I won't be on minus points anymore.

You can wildcard now and take advantage of the rises and falls or wildcard later. Its the same difference pretty much.

If you have concerns that you may be busy nearer the deadline, then pop that wildcard now

Of course you can but activating the WC before the price changes tonight means your moves in and out wont be effective transfers wrt price changes.

FPLStats also becomes much less accurate when a lot of WCs are in play.

It’s the honourable thing to do :pac:

And the comedic thing when someone forgets

Sorry now for a probably repeatedly asked question but is it better to do transfers and then wildcard or is it no difference

If you are unconcerned with price rises/falls and just want to set your team up for the now then its no difference.

If you want your transfers to count as part of the transfer algorithm that FPL basis their rises/falls on. Wildcard later is best.

Most people, casuals most likely, will just wildcard straight away, so yours/my/our transfers are probably making very little difference. But its like voting in the general election. Sure you've only got 1 vote, but every vote counts and I'd rather be voting than not voting

Selection headache. Have to pick one of the following to start:

    Wilson vs Brighton (A)
    Fraser vs Brighton (A)
    Rondon vs Leicester (A)

    Who would you go for?

Another selection headache Jota away to Soton or JWP home to Wolves, and the same question for Doherty or Bednarek.

Currently playing the 2 Wolves lads but it could go horribly wrong

Great to see a wildcard that will actually mean something.

    Lots of different squad selections.

I think that late injury to Kane was good for variety as it didn’t really allow a template to form.

There will be huge swings over the next 3 weeks.

It’s been really quiet around here later. Is it because a lot of people have lost interest due to poor performance or is it just because we are near the end, there are a lot of rivalries and people don’t want to give anything away or is there other reasons?

I haven't noticed it being particularly quiet. The talk is spread over a lot of threads though. For example this week, a GW34 transfer thread and a separate GW34 WC thread. Similar for the recent DGW and BGW

Nature of the beast this time of season.

Real quiet comes in late May/June. Tumbleweed time then

Nah, it's just the week that's in it. If you're on WC (which a lot of us are) it meant that you're effectively setting a team up for a triple GW, so all the attention was given to the Double GW Planning and the WC Threads.

The splitting of threads into those on a wildcard and those not is silly IMO. Spreads it out too much.

Also, people (like myself) definitely are less interested at the end of the season I'd say
