    More online falsehoods Robert.
When will you and the others in the 27% NO camp give up?
You can't win a straight up debate and you can't win with scaremongering and horrible photos and lies, and this faux victimhood doesnt work either.

10 women every day going to england.
That poor, poor woman in the #inhershoes page who's baby was born sideways tearing her on the way out. But the midwife "was happy" so the birth continued without pain medication. The woman had no bodily autonomy to overrule her. I'm even in tears writing this so I don't understand how anyone could read it and vote no.

We have truth, love, respect and compassion on our side.
You have hatred, vile photos, lies and scaremongering.

    The truth will out
    #repealthe8th.

No .... I care about both women and babies ..... I don’t trust the Government handling this issue if it is removed from the Constituon.

If the YES crowd are going to bash me now for saying ‘babies’ ..... please change the argument ..... we’ve heard it over and over again.

    Answer this honestly.

How much thought do you give to the abortions Irish women are having everyday here and in England?

So how does repealing the 8th hurt women? What does the 8th do to specifically protect women?

If the 8th is repealed, what is it you are so afraid of the government doing? And are you actively campaigning to remove all legislative power from the government for the same reason? If they can't be trusted on this issue why do we trust them with legislation at all?

They know the popular option is to legislate for abortion which our elected government will do (isn't this supposed to happen?) so their best shot is to manipulate people into voting to keep the amendment with whatever means they can.

In what way do you ‘not trust the government’?

I’ve heard this a couple of times over this thread but I have no idea what they don’t trust them _about_

This is shorthand for "the rest of the electorate is wrong" and "voters will elect TDs that will pass legislation that I disagree with".

It's a sure sign of a hard-core minority realising that the country has moved on without them.

I'm hearing reports from someone that the ICBR and their delightful posters are outside Temple Street CHILDREN'S hospital right now.

Born women should take priority over potential ones. I don't see how anyone could possibly argue with that.

    Disgusting VERMIN.

I'll have a toast to them after the YES vote wins though, as actions like that are more powerful campaigning for REPEAL than anything else.

You know what, as absolutely deplorable as I think it is, I have no doubt that their disgusting tactics are influencing the undecideds to the "Yes" side.

What they're doing is unforgivable and the height of selfishness and is showing them for what they are. Love both, indeed.
They have no consideration or respect for ANYONE or ANYTHING that goes beyond their own self involved interests.
    Absolute scum.

I don't know. I've been canvassing and some people really are swayed by their imagery. People who you wouldn't expect to be swayed. It's very depressing. We have facts on our side, most of the medical profession and all the stories of the very, very real hurt the 8th has caused to so many people. But a lot of people can't see past the imagery of 'babies' and the lies depicting the rich interior life they supposedly have in the womb. It's honestly terrifying.

They're pictures of cute babies this time and they've posted a video on the fb page saying their testing whether it 's the imagery being used or the fact they're pro-life!

He said " in many cases not Irish ".

From what I read online the guy who appears to the leader of the group is  from South Africa.

Although the posters they have today aren,t graphic,, what they are doing in setting up where they are setting up serves no purpose or point, there is nothing to be gained by setting up banner displays outside any hospital be it children,s hospital or a maternity hospital.

This is surely still worrying when almost half of one of the largest parties will vote No. It shows that even if the referendum is passed there is no guarantee the proposed legislation will go through.
If it does pass I hope these TD's are not allowed to conveniently forget their position. They obviously feel they are representing their core vote.

There is way more no voters than people think, exactly like the ssm referendum.
Why, because people with a different view just get shouted down there's no point debating.
Still believe the yes will win as we are now a nation of pc sheep, but i do believe it will be closer than people think.

Someone disagreeing with you on a discussion board is not "shouting you down"

The "sheep" reference is much more appropriate to the 1983 referendum. We were absolutely a bunch of sheep instructed by others on how to live our lives

Bit demeaning to women. Personally I believe my health is extremely important.

    In a word "baa".
I would prefer to be called "PC" than live with this draconian and cruel amendment being in place.

I have said from the start it will be close 55-45 possibly, but the pictures online of massive queues of young people registering to vote is hugely encouraging to me.

Having an opinion is absolutely fine, until that opinion restricts my personal liberties, and impacts my healthcare.
And I don't mean this figuratively, I mean it literally.
A No vote winning literally guarantees quality of my maternity care being effected.

And no one here has shouted you down, you are given ample opportunity to reply to those who oppose your beliefs but instead you just complain that people don't agree with you.

Funny how you never hear anyone admitting to voting No in the SSM marriage referendum these days. Almost as if they know they were wrong and are too embarrassed to stand behind their beliefs.

Note to AnneFrank: if you can still reply and voice your views, you’re not being “shouted down”. Glad to help.

Oh and many people think it will be close, myself included.

I never said that, but i also believe the health of a baby is important.
I would vote yes if it wasn't abortion on demand up to 12 weeks.
I just can't vote for that and never could. If you can, fair dues

Thanks Dara and i do always like your views on most things.
But lots of people have been shouted down out of this thread with respect,
myself included i just dropped in to see if any new points were getting made

That one went 62-38%. I'd be more than happy with that result this time.

    Really? What's your limit? 11 weeks? 10?

    9?
    8?
    :
    1?

    No, I didn't think so.
