Lighting up over north Wexford, south Wicklow now and development extending further north, Dub could get possibly in the firing line soon for new cells.

Tonnes of lightening to my southeast for the last hour or so. Getting more frequent and can hear long rumbles currently I reckon over Gorey right now and heading my way. Neighbours dogs and sheep going mad.

    Location Carlow.

Power did go out for like a minute and then the generator kicked in. Advantage of being next to a garda station

Thunder every 30 seconds or so now, this storm has some real power!

What about Kildare? Can see the anvils

Video of the lighting going across basically all of suburban Cork City along with the thunder. This is the best thunderstorm I've experienced (I'm a youngin) surprised we still have power , can see the north side from here and they do too surprisingly.

So Cork have so far this year got good snow, the highest temperature of the year so far and now and unbelievable sounding thunderstorm.

Yet you betya the miserable sods will be telling us about the Cork weather shields next week! :D:D

Fantastic two hour lightning show here. I have not seen something like this in a long time. With the potential of more to come tomorrow. It was more about the lightning here than thunder. It's damn muggy out now

Lots of flashes out in the distance to be seen here at Grange. On average, 1 flash every 5 seconds. Guess it's a long night for me then, the first of such since Emma on 2nd March. Ah 2018, I gotta love you.

Please to god this continental feed of air and thunderstorms is a sign of what's to come for #Summer2018.

Weather wise; watching to my SE and ESE some nice lightning here in S.Kildare. Don't know how far inland the storm will make it but nice to watch from afar nevertheless.

Right, off out for a late night drive. Sure it'll be bright in an hour anyway.

Will return with dashcam footage. Unless hit by lightining.

Same here, its really unbelievable. A lot of rain aswell. Probably a lot of spot flooding

There's lighting every 5-10 seconds and thunder still. This has been almost over 2 hours now.

And the biggest thunder bang award goes to 02:34am

I'm in North Offaly, miles away from any action but can see frequent distant flashes off the East South east...clear skies overhead though.
