It's Chicken Curry because it's chicken flavoured curry. It's not chips flavoured curry so it's curry chips ;)

That today is nothing like the wind chilled freeze so many were prophesising. A beautiful day for outdoors.

Was making tea for mam and coffee for myself this morning, like I do every weekend morning and there was just enough water in the kettle for both cups, huzzah! \o/

Ordered a very cheap but sentimental piece of jewelry for myself. It arrived and it's actually nicer than I was expecting!

I stayed in my cosy wee house yesterday, and gave the place a good clean up. It looks so neat and bright, but I hate housework, and much rather have been outdoors.

Not even realising it was a long weekend, until someone here mentioned it. Every weekend is a long weekend for us. :)

That's what I'm striving towards, to wake up in the morning without an alarm clock and it doesn't matter what day of the week it is, "one of these days Rodney" as Del boy said :)

The joy of not setting a clock, and waking when I'm good and ready, has never diminished. No clock, or watch, and very little marked ln the calendar. Your day will come.

The beautiful sunshine. I was out in the garden, wishing I could do three things at once.

oh no ! you reminded me I wanted to do some gardening, then I forgot.

But TH I got all the laundry done, and a really fun time with young Master Mountains dipping and splashing an old shredded sheet with Dylon's Dye "blood", for Halloween props.

Very proud of our creation so we are.

edit : oh yeah, and we had lots of dye left so we dipped two old teddies that were destroyed by the dog in it, they look very cool but they might take ages drying.

I've been enjoying another lazy Sunday surfing the net on my bed and listening to my parrots babbling away in the other room. Charlie is absolutely besotted with Ruby and she's having none of it. He's trying to chat her up again and it's going something like this:

    Charlie: Hi Ruby
    ....
    Charlie: I love you
    ....
    Charlie: I love you Ruby
    ....
Charlie: Good boy Ruby (this melted my heart because I would only say "good boy" to Charlie but he knows it's a complement so he's saying it to her which shows good cognitive skills)
    ....
Charlie: Do you want a cuddle? (I say this for head scratches which they love)
    ....

This continues for about five minutes and the only thing Ruby says in return is "ugh", just like a person who is unimpressed :pac::pac:

I've had them both for four years and to this day Ruby won't acknowledge Charlie. She still hasn't said his name and will shoo him away if he gets too close. Hang in their Charlie. She's doesn't have a lot of options and will eventually mellow :D

hhmm sourdough... where do you get the sourdough yeast ? I'd love to be able to make my own sourdough bread, I'd make a chowder to go with it like in San Francisco.

    TH tomorrow's off.

Bit the bullet and got over my fear and applied for a shift with the agency I'm with. It's not till the end of November mind, so at least I have time to get used to the thought of starting somewhere new :p

A friend dropped off a crate of apple juice made from the leftovers of our large crop this year. Tried some, and it's delicious.

My local cafe makes me VH, rather than TH. It's run by a husband and wife, lovely people. I walk in "the usual, is it, Maggie". The banter is great with the regulars, and the homemade cakes are gorgeous.
