The one constant through all the years, has been the Starbar.Ireland has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But the Starbar has marked the time.It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again

Aldi's Dairyfine Milk Chocolate 200g bar for me. A beast of a feed when I rest :D:D:D
Yeah Aldi and Lidl have some lovely chocolate . You get quantity and quality at a decent price.

Anything from 10+ years ago when chocolate still tasted like chocolate and not the manky **** it is today.

Remember when creme eggs used to be delicious?

Anyway, the correct answer is anything with mint in it.

Aero bar in mint or just chocolate. pity theres not much content in them.

Snickers or Twix. Lion and Dime bars also pretty nice. Moro would be there too but they’re on the heavy side.

I just finished a Moro and it was lovely. Galaxy is good too! I dunno if it's just be getting bigger but all bars all seem to be shrinking in size!!

Wasn't Moro repackaged as Boost about four years ago?

I like every single bar mentioned so far.....seriously, all of them

I would like to throw Lindor and Milka in here too though, both would make my top 5

Edit:....I see Lindor was mentioned above, a top quality bar

    Also love

    Crunchie
    Snickers
    Mars
    Cadbury's purple snack.

    Mint Aero

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,067 ✭✭✭Gunmonkey

Pretty much whichever I can get my hands on at any given time.
Fry's chocolate cream for a change. Wispa or Aero mostly though

Lovely, but pricey. Unless you head to Dealz where they are 3 for €1.50. Can also get a 4 pack of Topic bars, lovely little blasts from the past.

Also used to be (might still be there) a south african food shop near Jervis, sold tons of african Cadburys stuff. Had Dreams (Cadburys white choc bars) and Top Decks  lived off those things as a kid: milk choc bottom with white choc top for the raised "bumps".

I'm reviving this thread to warn others about being tricked by the multipacks of 'Moro' bars they have in Eurogiant at the moment. They are Egyptian-made, under license from Cadbury.

Try to imagine my sadness when I bit into one to discover that it is nothing but a shítty mars bar clone.

Egyptians are being sadly misled about what a Moro should be. :(

(I know about Boost bars, they are v. nice but an actual Moro-labelled, Moro bar would've been a nice little nostalgia trip.)

At work people have been coming back from holiday and as a (not expected) courtesy they bring back Toblerones.
The one's where one piece is the size of a standard bar of chocolate! I've grown very fond of Toblerone in the past few weeks :)

    I'd eat them all. I couldn't pick a favorite.

Honorable mentions to Mars Bar, Bounty, the elusive Red Bounty, Boost with Guarana, Turkish and Caramello.

Dime is the daddy of them all. Pity they're so small.

Even worse, it's more like a Milky Way. At least a Mars Bar has some caramel.
