The voices you are hearing are the voices of the person with the camera, recording. Not the person committing the crimes

Crazy scenes. I probably would have got in on the looting if I was a teenager still, but literally demolishing the ****ing building! The videos I seen have plenty adults too, and these adults are allowed reproduce, and what's better, most of the rest of us pay them to live.

    Line em up

Probably the same gang that "didn't" hold Joan Burton captive in her car.

You have it bang on 100% every time.

Of course you shouldn't be ashamed to be Irish. For every one of these stories there is 100 good ones.

Nor should people be ashamed to be from Tallaght . For every one of thise feral thugs who did this there are hundreds of decent people in Tallaght who just want to live quietly and carry on being decent . The sad part is for them the feral scum who did this will drag them down too as some people cannot differentiate .

Fair enough. My main problem is that this kind of thing has happened in countless different areas in countless different countries time and again.

You could almost let America off the hook by saying they didn't know any better, an experiment. But we CAN look at the example of America and see what NOT to do.

But we go ahead and do it anyway.

Locking them away will get them off the streets for an insignificant amount of time, but if we don't remove the reasons behind the crimes, then it will simply keep happening.

This is one of the reasons I am absolutely against immigration into poverty areas (usually by impoverished families). If we cant even fix the problems of our own poverty areas already, then why the hell would we want to add more fuel to the fire, and a racial angle to boot?! So American and shortsighted!

Like rescuing people out of the sea onto your sinking boat. Doesn't help anyone in the long run.

But what's the point of it then? just to show off? I thought there was some other app for that and the point of snapchat was the privacy

You're right that the point of snapchat is privacy. Just there are ways to get around it. With ease too.

Sure every phone has the ability to take a picture of your mobile screen. That instantly defeats the purpose of sending private pictures.

Here's some irony for you, the digger and equipment used was stolen just down the road from a building site providing new social housing and traveller accommodation in the area.
Not doubting you but could you quote a source for this information?

If convicted The only way to deal with these if there underage is to bring in a system where any future social welfare payments will be greatly reduced to cover the costs of the crime and the cost to the state, or if they work and pay taxes that there tax rate is rased until all cost involved are recouped,

That will push the recipient families into more poverty. laying devil's advocate, but do you want to see people starving and in penury with no hope at all? There isn't an easy solution.

Often on boards people on social welfare and living in council houses get a hard time and in my experience most of the time most of these people are fine and they just tip along and get by but when you see things like this you've got to wonder what is wrong with people!

Oh!!! Now I get it. It's our fault they robbed a digger, looted a shop and destroyed it. Damn, it was so obvious this whole time!

I was lead to believe that the locals were very community orientated and worked together to make their lives and environment a better place.
based on this I would have expected a very rapid response to the looting which would have meant a large portion of the society would have stood up to the scum coming out with their hands full of stolen goods.
I know its not their job to stop scum being scum, but the locality are known to work well together to get their views and points across.
Had I being their I would have been one of those people there blocking the scum trying to get away with their spoils.

    What people

You seem to be suggesting that you'd have been a one man army/lone ranger vigilante type of hero?

    Talking through your hoop mate.

You'd have done what they lad filming did. Made a few comments about the people doing it being scumbags - which they were, but stood idly by because being a hero in those situations isn't hard nor clever.

Stop with the generalisations though. Makes you look stupid.

So you want to murder the members if society who aren't pulling their weight?
Yeah, unfortunately, that makes you a much bigger scumbag. Seek counselling.

Most of us working class can’t afford counseling after paying for our own families costs and then fleeced through taxes to pay for Johnny the junkie.the pond scum can get free counseling and then probably wouldn’t get out of bed to attend.
Drown them in barrels of rain water or get a vet to castrate them and breed them out of existence.

The way I see it is that you can have scum living in any place. Be it a posh area or an council estate. That said you find more scum in council estates.

I say that as a person who grew up in a council estate too.

I suppose I think killing people is worse than smashing up a supermarket.

Do you really think this is their first and last crime? That the good members of society in the area would have nothing but good things to say about these lads?

While there are clearly "new irish" involved in this, we also must me mindful that there is a concerted campaign by organised extremists to drive a race angle to incidents like this. I believe far-right forums are stoking this angle here, as they have done before

More moderates amongst us should be aware of what is driving some posters.

That was my point though. Bray has a bad reputation, same as tallaght. And yet ive mentioned numerous stories of lovely people in my local area being helpful to elderly and disabled folk.

My point (though I admit really hard for me to make clear) is that places like bray and tallaght get a bad rep, but for every story of badness there is 100 stories of kind decent people trying to help their neighbours.
How do we end up with a bunch of people breaking in to a shop, looting it, people joining in, snapchatting it as if it's a bit of craic and other people who were nothing to do with the original bunch of scumbags, acting as if it's their lucky day and grabbing a few bits for themselves?

The excuses are already rolling with Dublin Councillor Hazel de Nortuin..

''I don't think they will remember it for that and I hope it's not one sided the news. There's so many reasons that people turn to measures like these and it always stems back to people feeling alienated''

I’ve felt alienated plenty of times in my life. Never left the need to lift the roof off a local supermarket though. Honestly is there any wonder scummers the way they do with shiite like this practically wiping their arses for them.

I think most Irish people are aware of the criminality carried out at the all levels of society from the Kinanhans to the criminals in FF are mainly committed by native white Irish scum.

Well, interpretation of what IS happening doesn't mean that the inevitable WONT happen!

That is to say, as these poor immigrants and poor irish people "breed" together, producing more easily identifiable non-irish......we're completely en route to being a mini America with its racial divides.

The trick is to recognise how we, as a society, are allowing ourselves to literally "colour" poverty, to make it easier to segregate ourselves away from it.

    Mark my words!
