Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ah Peter Horne!

You'd expect an U12 side to put that away.

How did Scotland not score from that. That should have been the easiest score for them of all the scores so far.

Would have thought Scotland covered enough ground for that to be advantage over.

Free kick advantages are very quick, penalty advantages are much longer and have been longer than what would be there usually

Going for the corner - have had some decent mauls in the game

Clear knock on there but Owens says the player didn't touch it.

The bias is hilarious, and I'd probably do the same thing but still.

You think that wasn't a knock on?

How many tackles has Farrell missed in this tournament?

How?? That's a ridiculous post - clear as day it was a knock on in the tackle, even looking at the replay!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

England being 15/8 to win at HT pretty much sums up everyone’s confidence in Scotland.

    Bull**** call

Ah seriously? Clear as day it came off the England player's arm

C'Mon Scotland!!!! They really need a try now to get in England's head.

Ok it was a knock on but he is so annoying. Talking rot every few mins throughout and he’s riding England here

No surprises seeing Brown go off, he's been relatively poor.

Scotland have left some good try scoring opportunities behind though through some poor judgement or off loading.

That lineout called by the TMO

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 109 ✭✭IIGeminiII

    Brown is highly unlikable.

    What about it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,558 ✭✭✭Ardillaun

I think the Irish are far better at schadenfreude than the Germans. Should be our national sport. Keep it up Scotland.

Surprise jones has persisted with Joseph he’s no man for the trenches

Shocking from Owens, right in front of him, Vunipola lying entirely on the ruck preventing the Scottish players from coming in.

I've a feeling England will score next, even when Scotland get possession, they are struggling to make any line breaks

    (really hope I'm wrong)

Robshaw and one of the Scottish lads doing some judo :)

Lot of English arms around necks in tackles.

You're not asking Nigel to police the breakdown surely?

Scotland seemed to gain considerable territory (while still having ball in hand) from where they originally won the penalty. Could have been deemed that they had amassed an advantage from the break.

Laidlaw off - he looks wrecked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,722 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Price is on, Scotland almost guaranteed to throw it away

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Yes, ballsy by Townsend. Price can help Russell here, England aren’t conceding penalties Laidlaw isn’t needed. Too slow and England are reorganising easily

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,601 ✭✭✭✭Akrasia

Owens is infuriatingly inconsistent. He seems to completely ignore blatant infringements in front of him but will penalise random minor infringements whenever he gets the urge to blow his whistle

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Regional South Moderators Posts: 15,247 Mod ✭✭✭✭rebel girl 15

that phase of play just indicative of England's day - right idea, poor execution

BBC even did a piece on England's defensive line prior to the game, being offside is their tactic.
