Absolute whiteout and heavy snow! Never gets old :)

The whiteout is unreal! Blowing snow + heavy falling snow + strong wind = near 0 visibility!

I don't actually believe it could be raining, are you sure it's not graupel?

Radar, if I’m understanding it right, suggests there’ll be a few hours break for Dublin with no more snow. Can’t get a forecast beyond 8am though.

I hadn’t been following thread recently, but Loved thread during Ophelia. I’m really amazed at how much snow fell so quickly

I hope theres a red warning tomorrow and schools/businesses close because I am now delirious from lack of sleep and won't be able to function.
Also I tried to explain to my cat she can't go out because she won't be able to get back in again as it's too cold but she won't listen.

Looks good for the kids to make a snowman!!

Is it wrong that this is more exciting than seeing their faces at Xmas???

Very intense shower in Bray again. Netweather radar not showing anything really so out of the blue as far as I was concerned but tried my Raintoday link again and its no longer giving an error and it is actually showing showers that the netweather radar site isn't.

Constant powder snow in Balbriggan for the last hour, with clouds of it sweeping off the ground in the strongest gusts, like sand whipping up the beach.
Very squally gusts, but from slightly south of East now.
Still a few stubborn patches of pavement where its all thawing, but otherwise a covering of several centimetres.

No, Xmas is once a year, waking up to snow as a child is possibly a once in a lifetime event.
